This honestly feels like a cad-comic classic post with the original Ethan and Lucas. I figured one-shots like this would feature the players instead, but I am okay with a switch up.
Analog and Dpad Ethan and Lucas also work a game store in their civie lives. this is probably them. Its a fiting backdrop and could really be inserted anywhere in the timeline as a slice of life bit. I think these kind of slice of life comics featureing E&L show up more on patreon but tim can put em here when he feels its appropriate.
cant emulate starfox 2 it isnt released with a complete copy just a ton of patched stuff. So someone who buys this will dump it and allow us to finally play a finished copy

This is exactly the kind of classic content that I sorely miss. I understand the creative need to move on to new things. But were I forced to choose between cad-comics of the past couple years vs before the reboot, I would not need a moment’s hesitation.

talk about fast . poor ethan he snoozed and lost now he will be paying some high ebay price or scalper for it since most will proably be buying the thing for memories of the original but mostly to play the legendary star fox two

It’s so nice to see Ethan and Lucas again in a regular comic. They were the heart and sole of this strip.
Also the accuracy of this hurts.

I’d like to think there’s a hidden joke behind this strip. Like:
Ethan: Whaatt?!!
Lucas: Sorry man
Ehan: But I was only talking to myself for like 20 seconds! That’s only enough for like 2 sales!
Lucas: Yeah I know, that’s all the pre-orders we could sell, 2. You’d think after the classic NES thing Nintendo would’ve learned their lesson.
Sadly after typing all that I realized the strip was funnier as is, this is why Tim gets to write jokes for a living and I don’t. XD
“that’s all the pre-orders we could sell, 2.” *Lucas starts counting on his fingers* “After the 4 copies we need to make gadgets for you, the copies that got stolen in the night, the ten I’m reserving for the times you ragequit and the 500 or so that I’m going to sell on eBay for several thousand dollars, we only had two left.”

Glad he did. I doubt it’d have the same punch if 1 was waiting for some classic gaming. Plus the players never leave the house.

the NES classic only allowed physical pre-orders. So its fair to assume SNES classic will do the same strupid thing.
