I read Tims blurb about going another direction with the comics years ago and decided that “myeh” I’ll get around to finishing it later. 6 years later I get fucking rekt. The heartache fueled rage is almost unexplainable.

Everyone once in a while, while having a snack and hitting random comics I land on this story arc and every time… every freakin’ time… I’m an emotional wreck when I finish this page.

Well, now we have a better universe to fill the void. Nothing could replace this, but AnD is still pretty cool.

Six years after this comic was posted I’m still disappointed Tim ended it like this…The comics have never been the same since.
Quite frankly for the best. He went in a completely different direction, and I honestly think it’s for the better. If you look at Least I Could Do and Looking for Group (*especially* the latter), both comics jumped the shark so badly that they’ve lost track of their plot. In the case of the latter, they finished the main story about a thousand pages in, and now they’re about a thousand pages after it, and only about a hundred of those pages had any meaningful plot, and now is going through a science fiction cyberpunk plot in a fantasy setting.… Read more »

I read this six years ago and knew this was coming but still hurts. Plenty of brain candy and ends with acid tears. FUCK!
Finally read this again. So many Bittersweet feelings. I love the original comics. But it was for the best.

Coming back after many years, not only has the site changed but while going through everything i noticed she was missing i am probably just going to start from the beginning and read up to this point because i need closure, how did it come to this when they were so happy. I feel like i walked into my best friends house and found him dead on the floor…But i guess thats what the creator was going for…After i read up ill say my final goodbye to this site as well.

I haven’t read this since it originally happened. This was right after my first child, daughter, was born and I was emotionally charged anyway. Almost 11 years later, two more kids, and still happily married to my wife, this still really hits hard.

Wintereenmas will live, damn I’m late to this but loved these comics and characters for a very long time, I was just trying to explain wintereenmas to some friends over a helldivers session and the recent dragons dogma 2 had me reminiscing over these awesome stories.
