Lot’s o’ Stuff!

May 26, 2004 by Tim

Thief 3 comes out today. I’m going to go pick it up, and then put the box on my computer desk and glance at it continually throughout the day with a sense of longing, because I’ve dedicated myself to getting this book done and I have to spend the whole day working on the commentary for the strips. Weee.

Heh, but seriously, I’m working like a madmen on this book. And I’ve finally got some news for you. Or at least, news of news. My goal is to start taking preorders on Monday the 31st. At that time I will also be making a page that will include ALL of the information about the book and ordering process that I can imagine you’d want to know. Everything you can expect from the book, everything about how the pre-orders are working, all of it. I’m still gearing to have the book in my hands by late July, but it’s all going to depend on you and how many books I pre-sell. But like I said, I’ll explain that all early next week. In the meantime, I’ve got to get working on it.

I have been stealing time here and there to enjoy myself, however. I recently picked up the second season of West Wing, what has become one of my favorite shows ever. I picked up the first DVD when it came out and I loved it. I don’t watch tv, so I rely on the season DVDs. The second season so far rocks.

I’m also in the middle of reading my favorite books of all time, The Song of Ice and Fire series, by George R. R. Martin, for the 8th time. I’m doing this because the fourth book should be coming out this year. This series has changed my views on fantasy fiction forever, and I have never loved books more than I love this series. I would take A Song of Ice and Fire over The Lord of the Rings any day of the week, and twice on Sunday.

I’m also still plugging away at Eternal Darkness when I have a free moment. Creepy stuff.
