Marissa’s Bunny

April 17, 2009 by Tim

A while back I got an email from Mike, the father of a little girl named Marissa who suffers from Infantile Spasms. Mike asked me if I would be interested in hosting a bunny to help raise awareness for this serious epileptic condition.

Helping out a great cause and a plush bunny? Absolutely.

I’d never heard of Infantile Spasms before Mike emailed me, and he’s never heard of it before his daughter was diagnosed last year. Some of you are around the age/time in your life when children are a possibility. Many of you are nowhere near that point, but still, it doesn’t hurt to be aware, and tuck that information away for later.

So swing by the website and check it out. You can donate if you wish (or buy your very own Fairfax bunny… they’re awesome. So soft), but Mike’s primary intention is just to raise awareness of a disease that is often misdiagnosed in infants.

As for me, I took Fairfax to the new house with me and let him help me renovate.

Fairfax lends a hand with the demolition.

Here Fairfax cuts some scrap wood down to size with the miter saw.

Fairfax tries his hand at taping some drywall.

He can’t get enough of the reciprocating saw.

Fairfax helps me remove a screw from the door jamb.

The bunny checks out some electrical connections.
