Newspost

Oh right, I have a front page where I post the newsy type things.

First up, sorry the comic was up late today. Ubercon tired me out a tad, and then I got stuck in the New York traffic last night because the Jets game let out. I didn’t manage to even finish the comic until earlier this evening.

At any rate, Ubercon was fun. It was a small convention, but a lot of my friends were in attendance, and I met many really cool fans, so a good time was had. I’ll be writing up a convention report soon, and I also found the ConnectiCon report, which I will finish and get up as well.

I am also pleased to report that Brian and I got a lot of good footage for the CAD DVD. For those not in the know, we’re filming a documentary of sorts, taping the conventions I attend, the panels, the room parties, me being drunk, etc, and we’re going to edit it all together eventually into sort of an “Evening with Kevin Smith” type feature, except with convention craziness and drunkeness inbetween the Q&A.

We’re filming this primarily for myself and my close friends, but I will make it available to the public for those that are interested.

Nekocon is in a few weeks, so if you’re in the Virginia area, I suggest checking it out.

I only went through one of the two boxes of books I brought with me to Ubercon, so that means that I have fifty more books available to sell online. I will be putting the book up for sale this week. I promise.

I’ve been getting a lot of emails asking where the merchandise is, or why I don’t have any merchandise (from those of you who haven’t been around long enough to remember when I had t-shirts and posters, and stuff). Here’s the deal: basically my business has grown to the point where the shipping of merchandise is a big, time-consuming deal. So much so, in fact, that I’ve been putting off getting merchandise back up in the store because I’ve been dreading having to start shipping it again.

The time has come for me to let a third-party business take over the official distribution of the CAD shirts and posters. I’ve chosen a company that I trust to get you merchandise that meets my standards of quality, and in a timely fashion.

This means that not only will you get shirts you ordered quicker, and via an easier ordering system, but they will be backed by an actual customer service department to handle any questions and problems you may have (something that I was having a harder and harder time keeping up with). And the benefit for me is that I will have more time to dedicate to comic related things, and also have more time to devote to creating some cool t-shirt designs for you.

I’ll make the official announcement as soon as we are ready to start taking orders, but I just wanted to let you guys know that the t-shirts and posters are coming back, and will be shipping in time for Christmas and Winter-een-mas.

I am still handling the books for now, and the Limited Edition Chef Brian t-shirts, which will begin shipping this week.
