Splinter Cell GameDay

April 3, 2004 by Tim

Ok, here is how this is going to work. I’m going to be playing the retail PC version of Splinter Cell for a couple of two hour periods today, and you are all welcome to join. Make sure you grab the
retail multiplayer patch.

Current Status:
All done for today. Had lots of fun, so thanks to everyone who showed up to play. Sorry if you couldn’t make it… I saw that some people were having trouble finding the server. I’ll see if I can figure out why, for next time. In the meantime, I always name my server Ctrl Alt Del, so keep an eye out for it.

Now, obviously there can only be four people in a game at once so it is first come, first served. If the game is full, and you still want to play Splinter Cell, I suggest keep trying or make a room of your own, called Ctrl Alt Del 2, Ctrl Alt Del 3 etc. Use the same password as I’m using. This way, at least CAD fans can play with fellow CAD fans.

Also please keep in mind that there will be a lot people wanting to play, so try to give other people a chance to play a bit as well.

I will also be playing again this evening, around 9pm EST, and I may go ahead and do this again mid-week sometime, if the turnout and demand is good.

Please keep in mind that we are just having fun. It doesn’t matter if you’re a newbie or a veteran. Just have a good time. If you have questions, feel free to ask. I’ve got a mic headset, but you don’t need to have one to play.

Also, I will be running the games without punkbuster, since there are still some issues with it.
