Ahh, that was a nice, relaxing Thanksgiv– AUGH. It’s Black Friday! Time to go batshit bananas over stuff!
If you want to own the first ten years of Ctrl+Alt+Del in a gorgeous, hardcover, 3-volume boxed set, we’ve got that on sale this weekend over here. This is the cheapest the set has ever been offered. The sale also applies to the copies we have in Australia, though we don’t have many of those left, so act fast!
(PS: If you only want a digital copy of the books, the DVD set has higher res PDFs than the downloads, AND comes with extras like the Ctrl+Alt+Del Animated Series.)
As I mentioned earlier in the week, our friends over at SUMO are in on the action too, and if you use the code blackfriday you’ll get 25% off your order. I suppose at this point I don’t really need to tell you that I enjoy the chairs SUMO offers; I’ve had a lot of them over the years and they’ve always been big supporters of the website.
Whenever I bring them up, I tend to get questions from people asking which chair they should buy. That’s a tough call, because there are some good ones, and some good variety that makes certain chairs better for certain things. But there are a couple of things I’m sure of:
- Buy as big a chair as your budget and space allows. Nobody has ever gotten a beanbag chair and said “I wish this was smaller.”
- Stay away from the microsuede. Okay, that one is just my personal preference, but I did not like the way it collected dirt/dust, and it didn’t feel like it breathed well when it was warmer.
Otherwise, it’s pretty hard to go wrong with a high-end beanbag chair. I will say, to follow up on my last review, we got a lot of enjoyment out of the Flex we had this summer. It was one of the least “chair-like” shapes I’ve seen, but it was really, really comfortable in practice.
…so that pretty much confirms the whole “Ethan is immortal” thing.
No, just that he can´t die. I´d be very much surprised if he would suddenly respawn when dying from old age – since it would be a never ending cycle of respawn and death.
Well, how are you so sure he respawns at his current age? For all we know his respawn age is set to the time he got his power.
So then if Ethan is under 35, he would never be able to run for president. Huh.
Not that we want him for a president, anyway.
Current situation suggests otherwise
I want him
I DO want him for a president
in that case wouldn’t he continually forget he has powers?
and everything that has transpired since he got his powers?
and stuff like that
Could change his age physically but not touch his mental shit.
It’s Ethan; besides the part of him dedicated to building awesome robots, his mind is nothing BUT fecal matter.
Can I assume there are no EU copies left for this sale?
I’ve been lurking for a good many years and this is my first post. I just wanted to say this is a very heartwarming page. I love the 2nd and 3rd panels. I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia, but this is the first time I truly understood the meaning of the holiday. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!
Damn, I like that Dark Knight reference 😀 In fact, I love wordplays in general. Well done.
(And I envy the three guys the food…huuuuungryyyy! xD)
Ethan comic…. skip
Ethan comic…. Yay!!
Yay indeed
I’m a gigantic douchebag that has nothing better to do than announce my actions in the most passive-aggressive manner possible……… even though nobody cares at all

it’s been some four years, hope you’re doing better.
and Lucas has better hair then any batman ive seen
So Scott 2.0 DOES play games! Or maybe he just is too tired to do anything else…
Trying to find the Aus cops of the book but the link goes back to the comic of it coming to Aus. Is the check out price on that page the black Friday sale price?
In the post below that, you’ll find buttons to purchase a copy from our Australian depot.
Awesome thank you for that.
Don’t take it as a bash, but I was excited to get a digital copy… until I found out it was attached to physical DVDs. I am trying to keep my physical space requirements to a minimum! I understand.. but have to pass. I was looking forward to PDFs of the 1.0 storyline, and files of the cartoon.
We have a strictly digital download version of the Book Set in our store…
It doesn’t include the animated series, though. The files are too big.
I legit laughed out loud at this shit. Good show, good show indeed.
So question: I assume Ethan’s Respawn functions the same way as the Players? So if he got sick, he wouldn’t be able to kill himself to cure it. On the other hand, as Rex Vivat mentioned, unless Ethan resets himself to a predetermined level of cellular decay, he would eventually be stuck in a constant loop of agony death and respawning when he reaches 100 years. The players are practically immortal, but Ethan might not be. Actually, that’s a theoretical way to “kill” Ethan. If Ethan goes crazy…er, insane from pain, then even if he cannot die, he is then… Read more »
You’ve been waiting years to use that punchline, haven’t you? 😉
I’m just glad that Lucas didn’t get these powers years ago, when the original Xbox was out. Considering how sharp those arrows are, they’d have brand new wireless controllers then.
thats PS4 controller btw, not xbox one (placement of joysticks is prime revealer
Duh… my comment was because Ethan and Lunas started this comic by playing XBox fifteen years ago… when they were wired controllers.
I know what a PS4 controller looks like. Pretty much what they looked like since the 90s.
