Time to see if he actually disabled the self-destruct.

I THINK the bomb was changed so it wouldn’t go off if Zeke stayed in the store. So just stepping out into the salesfloor shouldn’t be a problem. But it does risk the topic coming up.
I have seen a few people think that Scott didn’t change the range, but told Lucas that he did to get him off his back. This may figuratively blow up in Scott’s face and literally blow up in Ethan’s, if those theories are correct.
followed by console wars. and probably a round of the campaign with its dice rolling fun. we might be hanging from this cliff for a while if tim gets REAL sadistic…er i mean motivated on the other comics…
There’s no better time, in a story that must by its very nature be interrupted, to break than at a point of great interest so the reader will be encouraged to come back even after a while…
Guess we’ll find out if Scott disabled the bomb or not.
(also, what a weird offer, ZK has the internet and can not only do way more research than browsing some boxes allows, but also get anything he wants digitally)
In his comic’s universe software piracy does not exist. Everyone pays for their games and no one steals intellectual property. Or at least, that’s how I like to think of it.
They’re also trying to teach ZK morals, hence the comic a bit ago about why he shouldn’t filch pennies from online transactions. I think piracy would go a step beyond that.
Also piracy sites can be loaded with Spyware or viruses if you aren’t careful. Better not to take the chance.
If that means that all games are still offered digitally by their IP holders, even on older consoles, then heck yeah baby sign me up. I’ll take the random supervillain or two in exchange for that.
If I were ZK and had infinite money and an internet ordering capacity, a hand held scanner to inspect myself for harmful or concerning engineering or other things under the shell would be a good plan in any case.

I don’t think the bomb will come into play yet. Zeke’s agoraphobia may.
Yeah… on a meta level, it really can’t. It’s designed to kill Zeke, and if that happens, we’ve essentially ended his story. He hasn’t been able to duplicate his code or anything.
But something’s going to happen. You don’t have this much build up, with empathy and mortality and sharing, without a sudden upset, and the other shoe hasn’t dropped yet.
My guess – Lucas comes in, warns Zeke away from the door, and eventually admits that Scott never disabled the bomb. Zeke goes back to red-eye, but is shocked by how mad Ethan gets, and then it’s an Ethan vs Scott conflict.

Does everyone forget that zeke has left the room? He almost went outside at night lmao
Yeah, everyone forgot Zeke leaving the room because it NEVER HAPPENED. Link the comic if you’re so sure it happened (but you’ll discover you can’t, because it never happened). Stop making things up, you’re having a fever dream.
*hours later* zeke: ethan, why the hell is my head, attached to a vibrating dildo with lego arms and hotwheels for feet? ethan: i had to make some quick repairs. zeke: WHY IS THERE CHEWING GUM HOLDING EVERYTHING TOGETHER?! ethan: relax, its spearmint..

I think if embla (?) Shows up it’ll be as Eugene’s replacement for Zeke, and she’ll probably not be redeemed. I think that’d be cool. Maybe she could have the whole shitck of hating Zeke for being to weak and human. If they ever do meet. Hmm I also think that Zeke will probably end up becoming part of the team. But eh who knows, we currently still have that pesky bomb problem to solve.

Hell of a cliffhanger. Either nothing happens and Scott shows that he meant what he said when he said “Lucas doesn’t have to worry about it anymore or Zeke goes boom and Scott gets the boot (and he hasn’t been around much since Zeke moved in so getting written out of the series isn’t out of the question)….
or the bomb was just switched to either a larger perimeter which we will find out about just as we start relaxing about it. Also, there is the possibility of a manual switch even if perimeter is shut off.

So, his head blows, blowing Ethan’s trust in his comrades, and we get an Immortal Villain arc?

While your one offs still have originality. Your stories have become predictable, derivative and slow.
Uh oh
Yes. “Uh oh.”
Absolutely. “Uh oh.”
Scooby. “ruh roh!”
oh NO….
Oh ya, I hope Lucas is still in the store but Zeke is finally building up here and this will crush all their progress if he has to explain it.
“Without disappointment, you can’t appreciate victory” – Memphis Raines
“Did Scott tell you that?”
Ethan and Zeke are both going to be so mad if he gets blown up.
That’s literally what I said to myself, when I finished reading the page. Get out of my head, would you? 😉
Don’t sell your brain short! 😛
Uh oh indeed
Ethan, no. D:

I think that if my GPS is sometimes off by a few blocks when outside, the bomb’s GPS might be not restricted to a store room with bad reception.
Are we gonna see the payoff for that old setup? This could be interesting
and now I imagine Biden coming to visit the store room of a random video games store XD
that said the possibility isn’t zero, he could just have lost his way and ended up there ahahah
It could almost be a landscaping/garden centre instead…
Next to a sex toy shop.
Hey now, that’s very disrespectful to the Secret Service who would keep him on-track.
At least Biden can navigate stairs…
Unlike Ford
Well – that one time coming off of Air Force One …
Ruh roh
So, I find myself wondering what color ZK associates with the term BETRAAAAYAL.
No idea why that thought just occured to me….
I think it’s safe to say Zeke would go back to the default rage red.
Damnit Tim! That is one helluva cliff hanger! Can’t wait for monday!
Aaaand queue a starcaster mini run.
followed by console wars. and probably a round of the campaign with its dice rolling fun. we might be hanging from this cliff for a while if tim gets REAL sadistic…er i mean motivated on the other comics…
And by then it’ll be time for another Starcaster… work hard enough and this cliffhanger can last a year…

Who needs piracy? Steam is a thing.
Perhaps not in their universe.

This is probably exactly what he is going to do to us on Monday.

I don’t think the bomb will come into play yet. Zeke’s agoraphobia may.
Narrator’s voice: “Will ZK explode or will he simply have a mental breakdown. Tune in next time to find out!”
*digital breakdown?
Still mental. His mind is just all-electronic instead of half-electronic.
Is it bad that, I read this with DBZ in mind….Next time on Ctrl + Alt + Del
Possibly, but he’s doing it with Ethan. It’s different when there’s someone you trust at your side as opposed to all alone.

Wonder what the title means. “Deposited.” Hm.
