Cats will eat vomit, not for nutrients but for cleanliness. We have 5 cats, and our female cat will eat up throw up from the male cats if it isn’t cleaned up by us immediately.

I’ve had several cats over the decades. None have ever shown any interest in vomit or other icky things.
They’ve always had more classy preferences like licking their backsides…
