Yes because informing an untrained loose cannon flight risk of something the top top military Just got informed of themselves is high on the priority list.
I expect word to get to him soon, within the next page or two. Let’s not forget Cort only just joined the Feds (a few hours ago?), they had no time to fit him into their normal command structure yet.
Under ordinary circumstances they probably would’ve informed him before moving, but this is an emergency and Command might still be figuring out the specifics themselves. Their first priority is getting there in time. Making proper plans and informing everyone of the plan comes second.
The bridge was destroyed by a suicide bomber seconds after the captain realized they were under attack- it’s possible there was nobody alive that could issue a shipwide alert.
But another possibility is that Quel lied to the Federation about which vessel Cort was on, and the Drank’laex are attacking the wrong ship.
You’re confusing the two ships there. The ship with the blown up bridge was Danton’s ship, not this one. The Dranglaex are not attacking any wrong ship, just a different one. There are multiple important, Starcaster-bearing ships in the galaxy: -Ship A (the Aldoricut) containing La’Ni, Cort and Quel -Ship B (the one that went Boom) with Danton The current attack has nothing to do with Cort or Ship A. Ya i got confused there aswell, and wondered why all 3 starcasters were in the same ship/area and where Quel is? It became clear it had to have been a diff ship, Quel would know and I dont recall ever seeing Danton with Cort.
But it was a good bait&switch since Cort was specifically worried about being seen by a spy when getting on the ship.

Speck and Nyrah aren’t getting it, they don’t trust Cort yet. If it wasn’t for that caster on his arm, he’s be in jail at best. He’s a hero type, no one but those two are willing to believe it, the rest will take some time. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he’s told to clear the room and he’ll be called on when he’s needed. And NOT very politely at that!
Ugh that’s far too relatable. Being asked what’s going on and what’s happening even though you’ve *just* said that you have no idea or just found out about it yourself.
It’s the workplace equivalent of watching a movie with someone and they ask who a new character is. “What? I don’t know, they just showed up.” “But who is he?” “I have *just* as much information as you do.”
My Mom does that with characters that were introduced in a previous scene of the same movie, like when Ocean Master puts on his helmet in Act 3 of Aquaman.
