Exactly. Talking to him would not reveal more information but just give entertainment and joy to the Troll. Nothing he says is trustworthy and potetially only contains more trolling.
That was my first thought as well but, after a bit of thinking, I believe there could be a way to make the Troll reveal something inadvertantly. For instance, Lucas shows up in his cell and plays the role of an angry guy, shouting something like “I hope you’re happy now, you POS! My friend is DEAD beause of you and now it’s payback time!”. The Troll goes “Wha? He can’t die, I gave him a lime juice shot…” Cue oh shit moment. I’m not saying that this exact scenario is going to happen, I just want to highlight that… Read more »
Also, most Trolls assume they’re invincible anonymous. Having actually been caught and in prison, facing actual consequences for his actions may have done a number on him
This comment and some of the replies really display a complete lack of imagination. Of course he isn’t going to ask The Troll directly. Lucas is going to troll him.
As an example, in Death Note, L was able to prove Kira’s existence by tricking him via Lind L Taylor’s fake announcement. There are plenty of ways to trick someone who’s arrogant and isn’t expecting to be tricked.

Looking for an old “aquitance” is he… I forget aside the bank robbing gamer who else they have actually succesfully goten locked up?
From his second to last speach balloon it refers to the Troll again, so I think they do not want someone else. That makes me wonder, why would you engage the Troll at all? His whole life is about trolling. Further engagement will only lead to more trolling. What will you do when you’re there? Hope they slip up? Can you trust a slip up? If you have a crack psychology team it is a good idea, but Lucas will not get anything from it I wager. Unless they have a plan where he acts he wants revenge on the… Read more »

The only way I can see this working is if they all agree to lie and pretend that the injection didn’t work and that Ethan still has his powers, maybe even with some doctored footage showing him respawning as usual. If it was never going to work in the first place, the Troll will gloat about fucking with them. If it was supposed to work, there’s a chance the Troll will disbelieve them and/or freak out about it not working. Either way, this gives away whether or not the Troll believes if it should work. Of course if the Troll… Read more »
The problem is that the Troll himself might not know. If he hears it worked or didn’t, he could troll further, trying to get the most out of the situation. Worse is if he sees through, possibly setting Lucas up to get his friend injured or dead by giving wrong information. The Troll can also just keep it all vague, or even interject more possible dangers that Ethan is radioactive or something. So even if the Troll doesn’t know they are lying, there’s plenty of other ways to keep trolling.
A question I’ve been wondering for a while – does the Troll actually know what Ethan’s super power is? I don’t believe he ever saw him respawn and he certainly wouldn’t know where he got that power (mutagenic ooze + lightning + arcade machine if I remember the formula right).
Assuming he lost his power, maybe he and Lucas can restore his infinite extra lives by manifesting the Konami code somehow.

I wonder how the Troll is doing in prison, though. Is he thriving? Or, like many trolls, he thought that the consequences of his actions will ever affect him personally?

So is he going to go in undercover pretending to be a villain too? Or a more direct route,

Thinking about this there is a way to do this without the troll even knowing they played a hand. They could have someone come to the troll and say they are adding charges of manslaughter in the first degree to his charges by saying he played a direct roll in Ethan’s death. You could have those charges brought because those charges are for people who play a major role in a death but not necessarily killing a person directly.
The troll would have to fess up to it being bull or face a much longer prison sentence.

Are we sure he’s asking about the Troll? Cause – I thought everyone saw the video from that one, so everyone knows Ethan’s been “de-powered” and I would think the cops would already be looking into if that were true or not. Could he instead be looking for Eugene to see if there’s any ways they haven’t thought of to get in contact with Zeke? Also – back to the Troll… random thought I just had was what if their superpower is actually that they are a body hopping hive mind that can inhabit any of their followers, so they… Read more »
Well, he’s not in a local government prison. I would not be surprised if Zeke has confined him to an Automatia prison… also known as a janitor closet.

Everyone seems to be assuming Lucas is looking to get in contact with the Troll… which may be the case, but honestly I can’t see how that could end up helping.
I’m guessing there’s some other villain who’s power could somehow help with determining whether Ethan has truly lost his powers or not.
So what, you’re going to just ask Troll (who should be in prison/custody) directly?
Besides, the Troll might think he succeeded, even if really not. I don’t see how questioning him would help with anything.
