Just tell her you do inventory during night at the store once in awhile.
Running a business can be demanding.
But can’t have simple solutions I guess, that isn’t the Ethan way.
Can’t. Labor laws. She’d have to be an employee. You can’t do free labor, even if someone is offering.
What? You want to be an employee? Can’t do that, it would be improper, imagine what the other employees would say if you’re shacking up with the boss.
I initially thought it a great idea. However, his last GF left him because he pretended to be home while she was ringing the bell. There is no reason why a new GF wouldn’t come over to the store.
Ethan needs something that she can’t just randomly turn up for. Night running is then better than being at the store. She can always want to come with, but knowing when that happens is a big deal.
Being a secret superhero is hard. Being Ethan is hard. Being a secretly superhero Ethan is… off the scale.

I think it might be a good idea a dating app for vigilantes, that way they can match among them and do their own activities at night, and they wouldn’t need any cover story.
Of course it would be a good idea if it wasn’t a huge risk for all their secret identities, but still…
I wonder how it would go. Date at the end of the night. They arrive at her place. “Would you like to come up for a cup of coffee?” she asks. A good idea, as they need to go to their day job in a moment.
Maybe they can put on some filters, like “reporter,” or “cop.” That way they can make their lives needlessly complicated, as any good superhero is wont to do.
It wouldn’t be too hard to just put the superhero identity as the profile on such an app (or any dating app really)
Of course, that does open them up to walking into traps set up by villains, since most vigilantes would logically want to meet their dates in a secluded and non-public location
Dating already requires a level of emotional vulnerability, it’d be a lot harder when you have to make yourself physically vulnerable as well
Yeah, even in real life cops face this sort of problem when they use dating apps. Some crook types will use the dating app to catfish the cop and set a trap for them to kill and/or rob them. They leave their jobs off of the profile to avoid such circumstances.
He could still be directing them somehow. Drugs get in jails, coded messages get out. All you need is one guard as sick of superpeople as Emily was.

Is this going to lead to Ethan waking up in a bathtub full of ice with out his kidneys and slowly dying only to re-spawn?

Thoughts on him creating a second super-hero identity that never actually saves anyone or does anything (basically a completely ineffectual hero, but one people have seen and think is lame) as cover for his actual hero persona?
Like – he just admits “Yeah… I’m ____man” and she’s like “The dude who always shows up late?” and he’s like “Still getting the hang of it… but I’m trying.”

She’ll volunteer to help with the inventory.

Or that you need to receive inventory. Truckers can deliver at all sorts of weird hours (I used to work Receiving for a factory).
What is going to happen when she passes by the store and finds no-one in there?
Ethan can go through an elaborate scheme to build a simulacrum to be him during night shifts at the store.
Pre-reboot Ethan could do that, I’m not so sure about post-reboot Ethan

Ben is on fire 😀
In the precinct?

The masks stays on.
During the whole dating period.
Even in bed.
Nicole != Caroline, as some predicted (unless she’s paranoid and goes by her middle name on the app).
But it does rhyme with… TheTroll (my prediction).
It would have to be one of Myriad, not the OG troll. OG is in Not-Arkham.

But Ethan technically is a night-jogger.
