Good lord that toxic relationship of his is just getting more and more out of hand. At this point I think it’d be funny if the Troll took her hostage, by which time Ethan realizes how toxic she is, and he only reluctantly saves her.
FYI, you don’t need to download an app, that functionality exists in google maps (“geolocation sharing”).
My elderly parents have added one another there (there are some health concerns, so they want to monitor where each other are), but they don’t truly grasp all aspects of the technology (like the location not always updating in real time or mom often letting her phone run out of charge) leading to many toxic “why was it showing your _there_ at _that point in time_ “.
Sure. But I meant it like, no need to install a new specialized app, the default one pre installed on your smartphone would already have that functionality.
Please do not attribute undue intensity to my comment. I’ve found that people often forget that default apps are still just apps, and was providing a gentle reminder.
Enjoy your vacation! I hope you saw some cool places there! 😉

You know, too many red flags lead me to thinking this Nicole thing might be a red herring.
Then again, Nicole seems like a G and if we replace the N with the G and hussle the letters… we got LEGION! *puts on tinfoil hat* So maybe not a red herring afterall!!

Error in panel 2. Supposed to be say, not saw.

Typo: in the 2nd panel, Scott’s text reads “saw” when he probably meant “say.”
(Not an especially significant thing, but maybe fix it some time between now and when this all inevitably ends up in a big beautiful hardcopy some day)

Mustache is a symbiote that makes him the unremarkable cop in dangerous situations that is always there but not actively shot at.
Wonder what the line in the sand will Be for Ethan at this point.

Yeesh. I may have to avoid this storyline for a while. It’s kinda triggering :/
Yeah, and to be honest, it… kind of isn’t that funny. It was maybe funny for the first couple pages, but now it’s really being driven home and it’s not enjoyable.
I don’t think Ethan’s dating situation is meant to be funny. If you thought that, you haven’t been paying close enough attention… It has been clear for a long time now that CAD2.0 isn’t just slapstick humour like CAD1.0. Tim is exploring more mature and nuanced topics, as a writer and illustrator, and building more complex characters.
You’d prefer the more lighthearted humor of interstellar genocide from Starcaster Chronicles? Analog & D-Pad isn’t a font of joke after joke and really hasn’t been for a while.

As someone who has been through a very similar relationship, this is a very difficult arc to read. I appreciate that it’s being kept lighthearted for now, but I might have to take a break and come back in a month or so. </3

It’ll be nice when the “big girl=overbearing” trope has run its course 🙄
How does he know? The Master had all his technological expertise at his disposal to do that, and this was telegraphed to the audience as well. The Troll doesn’t have that expertise, nor was it telegraphed that someone else besides the Master might know.
Besides that they need to get really lucky with the dating app and then reel him in by playing on his emotions. It all is too far fetched and would be like the sky suddenly turning purple. There is no reason for it.
There’s also the part where Nicole is creating constant reasons why Ethan should break up. I could somewhat believe Troll could be emotionally skilled enough to manipulate Analog into a date. You need some psychology skills if you want to infuriate or upset people after all. But if you are trying to infiltrate someone with a fake date, it’s pretty important to actually be a good date. When you need the date to work out for your plan, you give your target reasons to keep dating. You don’t act as the worst human being possible and then pray your target… Read more »

I have known people in those kinds of relationships, and seen it depicted numerous times while hearing people say they have been in a toxic relationship like that. That being said, I cannot wrap my brain around the idea of actually putting up with that kind of treatment, nor even treating a partner like that. It’s like trying to visualize a penrose triangle or a tesseract. I have a theoretical concept of it, but I can’t really understand it. My brain just slides off the idea. Not meaning to judge anyone else’s life or choices, it’s just something that has… Read more »

I’m gonna laugh my ass off if Nicole ends up helping him with the troll. Not out of love or compassion or what have you, but sheer possessiveness. Further reinforcing the toxic relationship.
Odds Ethan is killed (and comes back) in a domestic violence incident?
At least he can focus on something else.
…for a few minutes only, though.
Good lord that toxic relationship of his is just getting more and more out of hand. At this point I think it’d be funny if the Troll took her hostage, by which time Ethan realizes how toxic she is, and he only reluctantly saves her.
And then she and the Troll bang, ending his streak as a lifelong incel and curing him from being a troll.
Then she kills him.
As was stated in an earlier post:
“Death by Snu-snu.”
Sadly, I can understand Ethan’s mental state here.
Do we think Nicole insisted Ethan download an app to show his location at all times (‘so she could be sure he’s safe’), or he messaged her 🤔
Very much putting my money down on the former, much better control that way, instead of relying on Ethan providing information.
Ethan better leave that phone home when heading out for patrolling in costume though, otherwise it may lead to some preeettty awkward talks 😛

Prinny: “did she make him download an app”
ears: “you don’t need to download an app”
You: “GOOGLE MAPS IS AN APP”
Okay? It’s not an app you download, which is what the previous two people were both talking about.
Please do not attribute undue intensity to my comment. I’ve found that people often forget that default apps are still just apps, and was providing a gentle reminder.
I assume messaged. “Hey X said there was some emergency, I’ll be back soon/a little late” or such. But GPS works too.
Am I the only one who saw the mistake in panel 2?
Nope. xD
Also, what you did there… I saw that! ^_^
I say we saw it together 🙂
Saw 11 confirmed?
Im aware, but Im on vacation.
BOOOOOOOOO!
Who told the doodle-slave he could leave his dungeon?!?!?!?111!?!
A likely story.

Nicole is the trap, the troll knows who they are.
How does he know? The Master had all his technological expertise at his disposal to do that, and this was telegraphed to the audience as well. The Troll doesn’t have that expertise, nor was it telegraphed that someone else besides the Master might know.
