I’ve probably died more to my own grenades than anything else in Borderlands 4.
I prefer a Jakobs crit knife when I can find a good one, but I definitely cannot be trusted with the more explosive variety. And MIRVs, forget about it. It’s a good thing there’s no friendly fire in coop, or I’d have no friends left.
Looks familiar, especially when the reticle (on games that have one) shows you a spot in the distance right before you throw yet somehow it still hits the pole.
Happens every time: you do a cool thing by accident and when you try, you die and/or embarrass yourself 😔
And if you don’t hit a wall, it’s a enemy that has *so helpfully* jumped right in front of you.
I think the only ones I’ve liked are throwing knives, Ripper (teleports to target), and Order (homing).
Order is my favorite grenades by far. No aiming, just blindly chuck in their general direction and let it do the work.
I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve forgotten which hand throws things in Fallout 4, and ended a fight with raiders by slamming a Molotov into the wall right in front of me (when trying to throw it round a corner)… easy fight for them I guess, lol.
… I still can’t remember which hand throws the item. I *think* it’s the left?
I’ve actually had it happen once in counterstrike, that I strafe-jumped while throwing a grenade, only for a 1~2 inch wide pole to be in front of me mid-jump, RIGHT as I threw the grenade. Which of course somehow managed to not bounce straight back, but at an angle right at me.
NO friendly fire? Man thats half the fun, oh well back to helldivers. Good thing there are enough games for every one so no need to screechs everythibg needs to cater to my tastes. Right?
I bought one Borderlands bundle that gave you for BL 1 a quite powerful grenade modification with a weird effect area…I needed to die several times to notice I was being affected by the grenade… wonderful
This is me with any game with grenades. Hence I dont throw grenades. Theyre just little bundles of suicide.
On another note I love the blowing up person’s face: it somehow sells that “Darn it I did it again” vibe
Ahh, memories of playing Doom on the original Playstation when a door slams down in your face just as you pull the trigger on your rocket launcher. Yeah…
