Oh come on! If this were a literal cliffhanger the guy’s arms would stretching to the point that he can let go and not worry about damage from the fall!

Splash Damage incoming ?

Looks like that could be another glue bomb Ethan’s about to throw at Elijah. Too bad there’s no way it’ll reach him in time. Come on, Gameboy, pause him…
Lucas can modify the width and length of his arrows, right ? So how about he spawns long, thin arrows right infront of Gameboy, facing Elijah so he gets kebabed ?
Well, if the life is about to take the life of a child, I say, kebab away.
More likely is Analog throws a glue bomb and gets dunked by Troll and then D-pad kebabs him back (as he last did when ZK snapped Ethan’s neck).

Tim. No… Tim, don’t do it! I know what I would do, and that is beyond cruel.
Okay… what I would do is…
At least there is that other hero!!
Gameboy pauses speedster’s foot, slowing him from accelerating to lethal speed. As Analog tries to throw his glue bomb, the Troll would shove him over the railing as D-Pad struggles with the third villain. Gameboy now has a choice, save a hero he looks up to or die.
If Ethan would be falling into the vat, how would GameBoy be able to save him?
Also the third villain (if you mean the guy with the hacking glove… Blackhat?) seems to have ran away. With a remote, but as long as the tank is paused, that’s not very relevant (and also he was in it for the money, so might have decided to cut his losses and just leave).
If he pauses just the foot, wouldn’t it horrendously rip off??
Some real trauma coming up!

I wonder, does Elijah also have super-perception, so he sees time slower than everyone else, or is he just faster. I think he is just faster, otherwise the first glue bomb would not have disabled him. So, sticking (hehehe) to that logic, he would not be able to dodge a sudden, very solid obstacle if he is not aware of it soon enough, and would go splat. So, a bit of organ and bone splinter shower for gameboy, but no dead kid.
Wasn’t he zipping back and forth between tagging a wall and chatting with Ethan and Lucas in his first appearance? That’s not something a speedster could do without some amount of super-perception.
Usually does come with some level of perception (while speeding), that’s pretty much a requirement for the power to be functional. Same with resisting the usual consequences of such rapid accel- and deceleration.
You’re correct that Elijah probably should’ve been able to dodge the glue bomb, or even just should’ve been too fast for the bomb to land. It’s one of the ways speedster powers are simply overpowered.
There’s basically nothing that should realistically be able to hit a speedster with consistent power levels. The only thing really stopping them is writers toning their powers down in critical moments.

If he Pauses just a foot and Elijah launches himself at full speed he’s going to rip his foot right off.
Either Elijah pulls out of the shoe with minimal resistance and continues the body-slam, or it’s the same foot-ripping issue but with a severed and un-paused foot.

How would Ethan even know how Gameboys power really works?

Hmm, or maybe Lucas is about to spawn an arrow right in front of Gameboy for Elijah to slam into. SPLAT

Because Lucas isnt the sort of person to willingly take a life, even if taking that life would put down a violent serial killer.
Otherwise he can absolutely just use an arrow to kill someone – thats how they discovered Ethan can respawn afterall.

Does Sam even know Analog’s power may or may not be on the fritz? Ethan’s whole power is basically just “doesn’t need to be saved.”

Yeah, he knows. They talked about it.

Or just detach a leg with a well placed arrow. Idk, something disabling.

I’d assume that Gameboy himself telling Ethan about his power might have had something to do with that.
