*looks at the heavy metal rockers i got waiting just in case she gets bumped off so i can throw one helluva party on her grave* lets see.rob zombie, slipknot, disturbed. im ready to celebrate.
I just had a terrible thought: what if she sees Ethan die and respawn or something else that lets her in on his secret and then he feels like he can’t break up with her without her outing him?
Are you sure that’s going to happen? It won’t be him that gets ditched and begs her not to go? I feel like we’re going to get one of those before they break up and she becomes an actual villain.

This is like if you were getting mugged and the guy found you so pathetic looking not only does he let you go, he gives you cash saying. “You need this more then I do.”

Wha pish? You mean Wha pah!?
Well, we know much more about Ethan’s situation than this guy, but he still is a bit pre- judging here, that maybe this couple is in a bad moment…
Nice Chandler reference, I’m also glad it wasn’t just me that thought that

Gotta say, normally all for letting a story run its course, but… this woman overstayed her welcome about, like… 3 comics in. There’s just actually nothing fun or interesting about reading this entire situation.
I wholeheartedly disagree with the “nothing interesting” part. It’s certainly not fun seeing Ethan struggle, but that’s also kind of the whole point. Sometimes it’s not enough to say “they’re in a toxic relationship” or “she’s gaslighting him”. Here it’s more “show, don’t tell”… And, personally, I feel it hits very close to home, and every new page I am also wincing and reflecting, myself.
That being said, I’ll be more than happy when Ethan stands up to her, of course. Hopefully he’ll do it “right” and communicate properly, empathically but still assertively.
Right, but… we saw what was intended to be shown with this relationship a couple pages into this arc. This is completely dragging on for way longer than necessary, in a medium that’s already incredibly slow at moving a story forward. There’s a point to storytelling where you need to know what you’re intending to tell, what your story started out as and what the audience is there to see, and how you present it. Frankly, the silly super hero comic with the low tier gamer supes isn’t really where I want to see dozens of dozens of pages dedicated… Read more »
This scenario sounds so plausible, that it should probably scare everyone a little.

Such a minor crime to be dealing with. Always forget how low on the crime-fighting pecking level Analog and D-Pad, it’s nice to be reminded.
(especially when they have recently been dealing with a city level emergency)
I’m not even sure that would get himself to act. He’s paralyzed himself with self doubt and giving his balls a veto over self-respect and self-esteem. It’s not entertaining, it’s infuriating. Even past ethans were more spontaneous, and they didn’t have knowledge they would reform. This one learns nothing, he gave more of a shit about zeke, but cannot apply an ounce of that damn logic to himself.
I… doubt it? Having been in a similar situation (with a guy) cheating would be something of a relief. The horror is that Ethan isn’t being allowed any space, she’s too focused on him. If she’s cheating, it’s merely another method to manipulate Ethan.

I just don’t know what we’re supposed to be getting from this plot line anymore. It’s been abundantly clear Nicole is bad news. There’s not even a conflict or any drama she’s been made out to have zero redeeming qualities so it’s just this long inevitable ride to an obvious conclusion

Just noticed that date above comic is wrong. Says 28th march but it’s 22th may.
It’s probably not wrong, that’s the date the comic was originally released for Patreons. The public release is about two months behind. You can scroll forwards to “future” comics and see they run up to today, they’ve just not been unlocked for the non-paying public.

this bandaid cannot be ripped off soon enough
ethan, you have gotttt to know its bad when thugs on the street are pointing it out 🙄
The sheer number of comments when he finally ditches her will be astounding.
I’ll just get this out of the way before anyone else does it: Bye Felicia!
Believe me, you’ll do it again when the time comes. 😉
Unless Tim does something to shut everyone up at that point like kill her off, but I doubt it.

Or… you can do that… 😉
I just had a terrible thought: what if she sees Ethan die and respawn or something else that lets her in on his secret and then he feels like he can’t break up with her without her outing him?
Please, don’t give Tim ideas like this. It’s going to be torture (for us). 😛
I bet he fails to dump her and gets dumped instead, leaving him stunned.
Are you sure that’s going to happen? It won’t be him that gets ditched and begs her not to go? I feel like we’re going to get one of those before they break up and she becomes an actual villain.

Eh. I think wha pish sounds whip like enough.
Gonfrask was making a reference to Friends, I think. Chandler notoriously cannot make a whip sound.

It’s not fun, but it’s interesting and well written. I agree and am super looking forward to this arc ending though.
You can write perfectly well and still write a thing too long
Thank you, random petty criminal. Our guy here needs all the help he can get to see it’s time to wake the eff up.
Plot twist! Turns out the bike thief IS a licensed psychiatrist. Just with crippling debt.
This scenario sounds so plausible, that it should probably scare everyone a little.
