Ice and Fire

George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire has been my favorite series of books for going on five years now. Previously, my favorite books were anything written by R.A. Salvatore, but after discovering the lands of Westeros and beyond, nothing could compare. This past Christmas I received hardcover copies of the three existing books, simply because I had read and reread my paperbacks until they were in ruin. To say that I simply enjoy these books is an understatement. I salivate at their very mention.

I have the good fortune to be a guest alongside George R. R. Martin at a convention at Harvard next January. Suffice to say that meeting him is an event I am eagerly anticipating.

If you haven’t read the books yet, I highly suggest picking up A Game of Thrones. I’m certain you’ll be hooked from there.

Yesterday I posted about a young boy with Cerebral Palsy that was in need of your help. From what I’ve heard, so far the support has been wonderful. I’m going to keep the post up just below this one. I offer my personal thanks to everyone who has assisted Tristan and his family, or who plans to do so. I’ll keep you posted on how things go.
