One of these days Transformers deserves to get a good video game. Is this it? I don’t know. It doesn’t look terrible, but it is a movie tie-in. And it’s a tie-in to a Michael Bay movie.

I enjoyed the first Transformers film, way more than I thought I would. It might have something to do with going in expecting nothing, but it was a fun little summer movie. I’m looking forward to the sequel.

Still, I’m not quite so high on the wonder that is the “Wolverine movie game is better than the actual Wolverine movie” twist that I’ve forgotten how incomplete movie licensed games usually tend to be.

But you know what, I’m all for them to keep trying. Make a dozen Transformer’s video games. Eventually we’ll get the Transformer’s equivalent of the upcoming Batman: Arkham Asylum.
