It’s the first one to properly render the “eye of the basilisk” emoji mentioned in Xkcd!

Don’t let Analog and D-Pad become Ethan and Lucas reborn. Otherwise what was the point of the reboot in the first place? I can understand that returning to the old style can feel comfortable when ideas are hard to find but if I wanted the old familiar, I’d go back and read the archives.
In what way do you feel like A&D is rehashing the old style? I mean, there’s been a few one-shot jokes that have been a little similar (the 3D printer gags earlier this year come to mind) but those are the exception rather than the rule. And I’d eat my hat if there are any comics in the past month that retread old conventions at all.

Wouldn’t Lucas just respawn if he kills himself? Wouldn’t that heal him too?

Lucas has never died, and doesn’t want to find out the hard way he can’t un-die. This was explained in the little origin story arc.
Happy new year indeed. Time to celebrate it by sleeping.
Cyphex can expect a Red Ring bug. Happy New Year!
Ahhh, a _tea party._ So that quip was actually a hint. Well done.
The ability to get near meaningless upgrades is directly at odds against the quantity of broken ribs.
Happy new years!
I bet it costs a thousand dollars and has nightmare-inducing emojis, too.

Could’ve sworn I hit reply to the guy who asked.
If that’s not a big hunk of foreshadowing, I don’t know what is.
