If they’d order it early enough, they could get it on time, though – hence, returning, but after the release.
(also, not returning could put them in legal trouble)
Naaaaa, just wait one or two hour after opening so you can excuse yourself that you didn’t have time before because you were…you know…selling your own copies.
That would be so evil because I’d definitely go looking for part 1.

He needs to return it. If it was a delivery mistake that could be costly for the driver for the shipping company. Either having to pay for the lost package or losing their job (or both).
They do pay a fixed amount for lost packages here™ if it’s their fault.

As funny as it would to give them back a bit late, it probably wouldn’t hurt their bottom line. It would just be a big pain in the butt for the likely minimum wage employees.

That’s not a lot of copies. Hard to imagine Megagame only sold that many copies, it was probably a lot more than that. I bet they already got a bunch of other boxes and will be fine. Anyway if I was Ethan I’d just give the box back to the driver tomorrow and say “hey this isn’t addressed to us.” He needs to give it back, but he’s under no obligation to walk himself down to Megagame and hand deliver it. Delivery company got paid to do it, make them do their job. Which will just so happen to take… Read more »

Put each unopened DVD case into a microwave for just a second or two. It will not damage the packaging/case, but it will destroy the DVD.
So you can still get them to sell unopened, mint-looking pieces, with a broken DVD inside.
The manufacturer/wholesaler (and/or the delivery company) would suffer for it though, having to replace them (manufacturer) and maybe cover the costs (delivery company), if we’re considering the in-universe consequences and morality.

Zeke did it. He put a MegaGame sign on the front of the store to trick the delivery guy. And now he’s silently cackling in that corner we see in panel 1(That’s him in disguise), happy that Ethan is unwittingly going along with his ploy to hurt GameHaven’s competition, thus ensuring GameHaven stays open. After all, GameHaven is the closest Zeke’s ever had to a true home, and he plans to return there soon after he’s done having his way with the Master.

Hmm. Yes, do return them….eventually through the proper channels. Also do take pictures of the box in your store for bragging rights about Which game store the post office sees as important. Depending on how far Ethan goes, tea bagging the address may also be on the table.
Yes and No. Recieving mail that is not yours that is delivered to your address by mistake is not a crime. Taking someone’s mail out of the mailbox or mail truck? that is a federal crime
Technically, so is opening someone else’s mail, but find me someone prosecuted for a case like this – assuming it was US Post. (And that they live in America or that America exists in this world)

Seems simple enough to put on some tape, add a “Return to Sender” label on the package, then drop it off with the shipping company at the end of the day. Megagame can reorder and perhaps get their copies in a couple of days or so.

Malicious compliance!
Return the games, but loudly announce that Megagames shipment of Call of honor is delivered by your own store 😉

I would return to shipper as they were miss delivered and let the post office deliver them themselves. If that is in a couple days so be it.

I saw the other day that incorrect deliveries according to the FTC: “You have the legal right to keep it as a free gift, according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Sellers aren’t permitted to ask for payment for unordered items, either, and the FTC says consumers are under no obligation to even tell the seller about the wrongly delivered merchandise.Dec 1, 2016”
So we’re not worried about breaking a law. Just about a concept of fairness or rightness in the world.
When does the hero, presented legal quandary in their favor, stop being a hero at heart?

Does this have a deeper meaning about microsoft taking call of duty away from playstation?
Do it. Let the hate flow through you.
Nah, he should most definitely return it to them.
Nothing says he can’t take his sweet time doing it though lol.
The day after release “oh yeah we got extra so we put the box in storage, didn’t even see the adress label”
Throw a wrong address label on it, and put it back in the post for re-delivery. That’ll only take a couple days…
Make sure to “notice” it should be returned early enough so Megagame wouldn’t order it again, but late enough they wouldn’t get it for release.
Nah make them order again and have it be late
If they’d order it early enough, they could get it on time, though – hence, returning, but after the release.
(also, not returning could put them in legal trouble)
Naturally, Ethan is going to do what any honorable person would do in the given situation… and pee in the gas tank (https://cad-comic.com/comic/winter-een-mas-2017-page-8/).
Wait a day.
Naaaaa, just wait one or two hour after opening so you can excuse yourself that you didn’t have time before because you were…you know…selling your own copies.
That’s the best reply to this one so far. It’s being honest while still needling the competition.
Can’t deliver them while their store is closed, so had to wait an hour after they was open so he was sure they was open.
Tim doesn’t _just_ add “p.1” to the titles for giggles. This is an arc and it’s going to be about honour
Or the beginnings of Ethan’s villain Arc
Note to self: Start randomly adding p.1 to one-page stories just to fuck with them.
aaaaand now it’s the beginnings of Tim’s villain arc
Better yet: p.2
That would be so evil because I’d definitely go looking for part 1.

if drivers would lost their job at each mistake there wouldnt be any driver left you know
Who is the delivery driver these days – used to be a romantic interest? Don’t want her in trouble?
bruh this is a comic, not real life. What happens to the driver is of absolutely no concern
That’s accurate.
https://cad-comic.com/comic/mindstate/
Yeah holy shit, the fake character in the made up comic might get arrested by the imaginary police and sent to fictional jail.
Well we all care about the fictional protagonists, so it doesn’t really make a difference to care about the fictional delivery guys, does it?
Driver scanned it delivered, the shipper knows exactly where it went. And when it got there.
An actual snowflake has a better chance of surviving in hell than drivers these days have of getting fired, for even outright stealing packages.
A simple misdelivery, to one of at least two similar stores on a street, is the least of the companys (or the drivers) concerns.
They do pay a fixed amount for lost packages here™ if it’s their fault.

Ah! So this is the beginning of villain arc.
Isn’t taking someone else’s mail a federal crime?
This is UPS probably? No federal regulations about mail tampering apply, that’s only USPS.
It is a federal crime, regardless of delivery Co.
