I remember when I twigged to an opponent in TF2 using a controller… I was fucking around with a doctor, and realized the game itself was never going to resolve… some weird custom map. I was trying to figure out where the sweet spot was to get headshots with the syringegun. Other guy was a scout, in close, with a shotgun. And he… couldn’t hit me. You get in close enough, and the limit to rotation speed the controllers have really gets obvious. Oh my god, that is brilliant. Steam would be the dominate political party that has been in power for years, but has slowly gotten complacent and shitty due to have no true challengers. Specifically they let the infrastructure (actually curating games_ go to complete crap.

Now that phase one is complete and we have PC’s in the comic, we can start pushing for even greater PC presence in the console war comic. And while it is true that PCs do not have the divide consoles have, a case could be made for Steam and Epic store if they start coming out with various exclusives.

This is AWESOME. I didn’t really want PCs in here, ’cause I just sort of assumed they would be some sort of cyborg super-soldier, or coming down in the Alienware mothership. PCs are above it all, but then consoles already destroyed the PC gaming industry so that what remains is a post-apocolyptic wasteland. I can’t imagine PCs seeing themselves as anything but superior, but in principle rather than power. Now the only good PC games we get are the ones that also work as good console games, leaving us with all this superior capability and versatility…completely wasted. Heh you know it would be funny if he’d gone with the alien-ware mother ship path. Panel 1/2 soldiers talking about some of their ammo stockpile has mysteriously vanished followed by wild speculation. Next panel is a flying saucer using an abduction beam on a pile of whatever the latest cross platform game is. Final panel is a bunch of green PC’s with Modder written on the side preparing to probe said game boxes with unspeakable things.

I just enjoy the fact that the PC’s showed up on the X-box side, that way they can watch their degenerate three times removed cousins fighting.
Well, 2017 gaming market share numbers are 28% PC, 29% consoles, 43$ mobile gaming. It sucks (seeing how Diablo and C&C franchases were raped and deformed to earn some money for trademark holders as mobile games), but I want to see something insane about mobile gaming in Console War. Something like tyranid or zerg invasion…

PC = Western world. Rich, fat and smug. Reached peak population saturation long ago.
Console = Developing world. Poor, starving (or fed by PC aid) and suffering from overpopulation. Sometimes things are produced for the PC market here but then it is of such poor quality that the PC consumers see it as trash.
Mobile = Body swap aliens infesting the whole world.

Well it seems PCs are starting to have their version of a console war with Epic vs Steam vs Origin etc. Epic actually looks like it wants to take Steam on for all games not just its own. Funny thing is, there is nothing stopping anyone from just having multiple game clients installed, but already I’m seeing forums and comments sections heating up over Steam vs Epic as though there can only be one.
I would have even gone farther. Maybe the PCs are watching the Console War on TV and, uninterested, turn it off like it was gold game to an X-Games fan.
Just imagine if a temporary armistice came up between the two just to hit them with the “Arkham Knight”
