That story will continue in Analog and D-Pad issue #5. These stories that aren’t numbered issues take place in the continuity, but around the events in the comic book.
That way I have the freedom to tell smaller stories with them while I work on the full issues.
Ohhh, nice. 🙂 I had been so curious about that. ^-^

I just love the current storyline and would gladly forget about the fact they are superheroes. That’s the main thing I preferred about the old CAD. Would be cool if there were more episodes about their lifes really.
Well, that’s the goal here. Using the comic book issues to tell bigger stories, but freeing myself up to tell smaller day-to-day life stories like this is a less structured manner.
I agree! I’m a big fan of the recasting/restructuring of the Scott character. The kinda grizzled kind look really works, and it adds a new depth to the strip.
I like how, you know, it seems like they’re friends or something!

….Oh. Well that’s a depressingly mundane box.

Mundane yet awesome box. Also printing your own shells lowers the chance of tracing them back to you. Just have a reason to be making shells. Like you repair damaged controllers on the side.

Aw, that’s sweet, helping the buddies with their superhero duty/play/gimmick at workplace too. I like how supportive Scott is while also being a voice of reason to tie Ethan a bit into reality. I wanna know more about their past now. Were they friends from childhood on? Meet as teens? As young adults? Only recently, during their first superhero works? The way Ethan acts so at ease around Scott and the way Scott smiles so smugly/knowingly feels like they know each other for years, question is how many and how their first meeting was like. Probably not so good, I’d… Read more »

So…there ARE jetpacks. But the heroes can’t use them.
What kinda story is this?!
Some of us might actually be thinking that very thought mid death by jet pack…. lol.
^^^^ What they said
Now that’s the Ethan that I remember!
I still can’t believe they let Ethan have bombs.
What if… hydro jet pack?
I almost forgot they were even superheros.
Nice to see that after all these years, Scott still runs Linux. =D
But I’d figure he’d use a different desktop environment-
“It’s just not worth it to ask the boss to install windows”
– Alice Evanson
So whatever happened to the arc with Zii leading ninja bots?
I meant Zeke.

I agree. I love just seeing Ethan and crew in their day-to-day lives. I really missed this after their previous story concluded.
Keep it up Tim!

Awesome! I don’t mind them being super heroes but really missed their in-betwen-lifes. Awesome that you decide to do that. Thx:)
I love how Scott is still kinda smiling in panel 4 – shows he’s gotten used to Ethan being Ethan and presumably has ways to deal with his Ethan-ness.

;_;
Really though, Scott was probably like 35 at the time, and this is 15 years later. He isn’t so much “grizzled” as older.
