Doesn’t mean she might not have vented about their argument to her roommate

Good old Ethan. Sweet, oblivious, and slightly adorkable.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the next comic involves there being a knock at the door, Rachel opening it expecting it to be Ethan, and finding that Zeke is there with malicious intent – ending on a cliffhanger until the next time the story is picked up.
I mean she DOES do stories about Analog and D-pad, and they just settled a fight the police wanted Captain Prime to come settle.
I mean what if we jump too Emily reading an article and it just says “Last night we spotted our two video game super heroes along with a third! Who despite considerable damage to the bank not only did they catch the suspect, but saved the lives of two officers …. Lilah”

I dont know what E-S-E-A-S-H-R means, but I have some ideas.
Ethan Saves Emily And She Hates Rachel ?
Emily Sees Ethan Attacking Samurais, Heart Reopens?
Ethan Sees Emily After She Hears Ruckus?
Emily Secretly Evil Assassin, Shoots Hostage: Rachel!
Emily, Scott, Ethan: Awkward, Sexual, Horror Rodeo.
(Let me know if I am getting close…)
Why not? The relationship’s been rocky from the start. She’s already confronted Ethan once because he was continuously looking for reasons to break them up. She called him out on how he was trying to manipulate her with the entire Superhero “fandom” thing, and he promised that he would be honest with her. Ethan’s had a history of weaseling around telling the exact truth, and Emily knows it. From the very beginning, the first time that we met Rachel, her words implied to her that Emily had been through some rough relationships. Emily confirmed it, too, when she talked about… Read more »

The hardest part about the whole thing is that neither Ethan nor Rachael are really the bad guy here. Rachael couldn’t trust somebody who she *knew* was lying to her, which is 100% reasonable; it was also reasonable for her to eventually get angry at the lies, and stop believing him even when he just happened to be telling the truth. Ethan couldn’t give such a big secret away, especially not when it would mean outing Lucas as well. That was also reasonable; he definitely could have handled the situation better but even if he had he wasn’t getting around… Read more »

In the near future:
Ethan: Oh, hi again Rachel.
Rachel: I told Emily you stopped by. I was wrong she doesn’t want to see you now, later or in this lifetime.
Ethan: Perfect!
Next frame you see Ethan working on a time machine to go into the past because thats the only place she wants to see him.

Why the hell is he sorry? She’s the one who didn’t communicate, that thing she claimed was so important. Screw her, move on.

“She’s upset”
And he’s not? No, of course not, because he has to be “at fault” for this. I’m glad Emily’s roommate is at least mature enough to take a step back and recognize genuine sorrow in Ethan, even if Emily is apparently not.

Petition to put Kate (Remember Kate?) into the canon.
I want to laugh at Ethan being Ethan.. but i’m to sad about this.
You’re a better man then me, I’m rolling
I wouldn’t be counting on that one. You can waste a lot of time pining over someone who is never going to come back.
A hard lesson to learn, but no less true.
And good old Ethan is back! 🙂
Yay for Ethan being miserable?
So, what if the roommate is a super villain and right now Emily is unknowingly outing him to his newest nemesis?
The roommate has meet Ethan and I doubt there is anyone who knows Ethan who would believe he’s a superhero without seeing him respawn.
Nah, she didn’t even believe him.
Doesn’t mean she might not have vented about their argument to her roommate

For that to have effective dramatic timing, we’d need a scene inside the apartment first.
*snort*
Ah, he hasn’t realised yet he needs to get over her.
I smell a Lilah interaction approaching….

My bet is SHR is superhero rescue.
Even if Emily,Scott, Ethan… wasn’t the original intended storyline it would be a great way to finish this arc.
*chokes at ‘Horror Rodeo’*
I kinda wonder if Emily was ALSO looking to break up………
I don’t think she’d have been that angry if she wanted this anyway. At the very least, I don’t think she *thought* she wanted to break up.
Well, maybe, despite Ethan’s story about his sister, Emily is STILL mad at him for supporting ssuperheroes
Or maybe she DOES believe Ethan’s a superhero, and that’s why she’s mad

I’m sure you meant to type Emily instead of Rachel. 🙂
Some folks are still getting over “Friends”.
