He didn’t open walnuts for a while and was recovering of the brain damage

“I used to be a superhero, but then I took a walnut to the eye.”

Fragments of Walnut shell have been the demise of a large number of under-par evil geniuses….

Imagine *this* being how he rediscovers his power…

Clearly concussion isnt a thing he has had to deal with before. Or its a common occurance; would explain a lot

I see the comic is very up to date with the Switch 2 advertisement in the back.

Would be interesting to check if the background ads line up with the established timeline in the comic itself 😛

One-off gag or first comic in a new chapter?
Also, we haven’t seen Lilah in a while.

Seems to be an honest question, why all the down votes? If you look at the url, we can see it shows p1, which tells us it is not a one shot.

Maybe Scott should look into fixing previous brain damage in addition to trying to prevent future brain damage.

Not the durability test that was intended, but still yields results.

Every now and then, Ethan says or does something incredibly intelligent and/or wise. And then every now and then Ethan says or does something incredibly… Ethan.

Admit it: If you’d have a hard shell helmet that can crack walnuts without damage to your head, you’d wear it to crack them, wouldn’t you?

(I’d not crack the nuts because a) They get completely smashed and b) it would wear down the inner layer)

I’m starting to wonder if the Troll’s serum has flipped Ethan’s power from respawns to invulnerability…

Lucas, the helmet to smash ratio is better when it is on your head, DUH.

Off topic, but it is *deeply* funny to me that just when Tim decides he’s done with the console wars, Nintendo starts producing quality new material for him to use

Exactly – I’m wating for a comic strip about how N soldiers instead of recieving salary have to pay for their own training.

Also, for some reason every fifth or so walnut turns into a pigeon.

Is that a Discworld reference? Can’t remember which book, but it seems like it should be.

What’s worse, using a helmet to crack open walnuts or a contained detonation chamber? If you get that reference, I salute you.

Headbutting nuts has long been a staple of comic superheroes and sidekicks.
