Alright, I’m putting the blame on Emily, here, for not informing Ethan ahead of time. I mean, him bringing Lucas along means that Lucas needs a date, and Ethan would obviously know this. So not telling Ethan that you’re bringing a date for Lucas would mean that Lucas would find his own date.
Ethan could’ve easily missed her mentioning this in their conversation out of pure stress. we never really got to see it play out.
Lucas could easily clear this up, but seeing as he isn’t here right now and knowing how fast Ethan fucks up…
well, we are about to see just how patient and tolerant Emily is.
This is probably what is going to end up mortally wounding Ethan’s chances with Emily…or maybe it is going to wind up being Rachel is Lucas’s blind date in both ways
I see you’re trying to apply logic to girls. I think you need to go learn some more physics. Calculus-based.

Holy crap, this just got extra-hilarious.
I have been in situations like this – not exactly, but sudden “I just realized that by not following 100% to a prior conversation, I just ruined the evening” panic moments.
hmm, not panic but I still remember how I managed in DnD screw up GM’s well crafted story by goring the target that was intended to be saved just due I didnt listen slightly before about mission objectives and assumed present is enemy:)

In any normal situation this would be awkward but nothing that couldn’t be laughed off.
Naturally I’ll be surprised if the restaurant isn’t on fire by the end of this. And it shall be GLORIOUS.

Tim, the “link” between these issues is not working as *I* expected it to. It could be my expectations are wrong hehe.
When I click Previous on this comic, it goes to the “random in between issues”, specifically the one where your kid is sleeping on top of you. From then on, the “Previous” will not get you to this issue’s previous comic, where Lucas finds a date instantly.
Actually, never mind. It was a weird thing if the link still only had “https://cad-comic.com/” and I got too far back searching for it, and when I then moved forward I was then on the “in between issues” section.
Once the link had the proper issue: “https://cad-comic.com/comic/fish-in-the-sea-p11” it’s working fine.
You literally caught me in the middle of reclassifying all of these strips XD
I retagged everything with Ethan and Lucas so that it falls into the Analog and D-Pad archive, instead of the general “Ctrl+Alt+Del” archive, so that its easier to read it all together.
That’s probably why you had a momentary issue with navigation.
