So. I think the characters are Chinese and thanks to reverse image search (the future has some nifty things y’all) I was able to get near (if not exact) match characters. I think the Chinese translates as: You (your existence) displeases the Gods! or… How you use your divinely provided gifts go against the tenants of the Gods! Exactly the characters appear as: 神禁祥 The translation comes out as: Divine Prohibition of Auspices This (obviously) makes zero sense.
