Playing Marvel Rivals and having a blast. If any of you are thinking of getting into it, here’s my ally code: 995266980. You enter it when first starting your account/game before picking your Nickname. It’ll let you send me a friend invite, maybe we can squad up.
Ahhh, they grow up so fast.
I get similar from my kids and roblox.
I wish they would try other games….
They would.
Did you introduce them to gaming, or did they get influenced into it by their friends or YouTubers/Twitch streamers that aim their streams towards young audiences? I was introduced to gaming by my father, but that was a very different time. In primary school, I was playing 3D games on PC while my school friends were playing on B&W GaneBoy, so there wasn’t much risk of being influenced by anything else than whatever my father was buying for me. I hope that my kids will be able to have a varied taste in video games, and not blindly follow the… Read more »
This. This is where it goes “wrong”. If there’s no youtuber playing it it’s not cool. As I said above we have a lot of nice games but it doesn’t go fast enough for them. They have NO attention span for a storyline or don’t want to waste time finding out where to go.
They will one day. I remember when I was a kid it was nothing but Pokemon and other collection RPGs like Digimon, Robopon, Revelations: the Demon Slayer, anything I could get that was basically Pokemon.
I moved on, so will they one day.
I have the same issue! We have a bunch of awesome games here like final fantasy and zelfda but they only wanna play the flashy fortnite that requires a constant clicking. Neither of them can play a game where you have to read text or listen to people talking or look around and think about where to go next.
Whatever they do it needs to go fast.
I still dont like Fortnite and keep hoping it will go away. ive tried to get my nephew to play some single player games, but all he’ll play is Fortnite, COD, Fifa, and Roblox… I stopped trying.
My kids haven’t tried fortnite, but Roblox was big for a while. I was still able to make them play hollow knight and zelda games and now roblox is for when they are more tired and don’t feel like being challenge. So kinda win.
Your self respect don’t will make people envy like a ridiculous hat that you can no longer get…yes…this is our world
We’re doomed. 🫠😅
I had the same conversation with my kid about Overwatch. I got the last laugh though now that it’s effectively dying out.
Hunt: Showdown ftw
My sons are 10 and 12. They nudged me into playing Fortnite and I must say that I enjoy it which I never thought prior. They also tried to get me to play Brawl Stars but I am not into games on my phone.
Apart from this they play a variety of games, mostly single player. Shame that splitscreen/couch-coop games are practically dead.
I’ve never played fortnight, and I never will. Hang on to your self respect Tim.
My brother started playing Fortnite when they released the game mode without base building and enjoys the game but doesn’t buy skins or anything like that. I myself never got into it and never will.
Ancient cosmetics can be dangerous. I have the founder title and sails in Sea of Thieves, but stopped playing after Skeleton Thrones. I’ve only played sporadically and casually since then. When I put up those sails though, it’s like I aggro’d the entire server, and they come looking for a good fight they are *not* going to get out of my rusty ass on a solo brig.
Yeah, I had the same thought for the kid in the comic. Opponents would get quickly disappointed upon realising that it’s a newcomer kid playing and not someone with a decade of experience.
It’s Mostly? fine in SoT at least. I’ve been hard targeted by people running cheats which sucks. But once I figured out putting up the sails was essentially a provoke, I’d put them up whenever I felt like having more player interactions. My favorite was while I was doing an island event. I got some notification about loot being placed/moved on my ship, which I noticed but didn’t quite realize it meant I had a stow-away. They stuck a banana on the stove, hid as a barrel and watched as my ship started to burn down. I had a wrath… Read more »
Dude, that’s an epic story. Excellent trolling. A BANANA?!
Hah.
That boy is for the streets.
Young one needs to understand they need to earn their own skins and such.
This is the way.
I played Fortnite with my younger nephew then one night he asked if I could play with him and his mates bare in mind they were only 12 at the time and him and his mates kept demolishing the “noob uncle” I couldn’t event build as fast as they could.
I got my revenge when he decided to play Airsoft when he was 16 lol
You don’t build bases anymore? Weird… I must have tried it back when Tim did… I didn’t like it at the time either.
I still remember people used to call Fortnite “a cheap PUBG ripoff”
Personally I haven’t played any. I suck at multiplayer games.
I setup games of L4D2 and I set them up as normal or advanced realism and people keep saying ‘Vote to change to expert…’ – they can look for Expert level games… but they come in and want to change what the game was set for.
Sigh.
This is why my son has his own Fortnite account.
It’s hard to criticize the kids attitude when you lead with “Pfft. I played this before you were born….” 🙂
“I actually had time to play games before you were born…:”
Kid’s roasting you XD
“OK, son, this is Heroes of Might & Magic 3. It’s what we call a video game. There might be some other video games out there, who knows, but not in this household”
“did you ever play WoW?”
“no,, your mother and i didn’t need its help being nitpicky little jerks”
