The only thing that I don’t get with them is the whole spending their own money to give their competition money lol. I mean Ethan “I will spend thousands of dollars in order to get an early copy of Oblivion and fail miserably” might, but not Lucas!
I dunno that that’s true. Ethan and Lucas are VERY similar to their old versions, except they seem to be better written. Lucas is a little more human and flawed, and Ethan is a little more toned down. Personally, reading the last couple of strips felt very comfortably like I was reading pre-reset CAD.
Speaking of the Time Machine, This Ethan feels like he is somewhere between “Zekepocalypse Ethan” and “Sane Ethan” (featuring his own personal brand of shock therapy) in terms of intelligence, but between Zekepocalypse and 1.0 Ethan in terms of sanity. He’s definitely had to learn some life lessons, and as such is a different permutation of Ethan- but he is still Ethan.

Still never preordered a game. Mostly because by the time I can afford one the game’s been out for months if not years.

I thought that the storyline with the Troll established this Lucas as a Sony man? Or is this game some sort of XBOX exclusixe? I’ve never been one to get some pre-order because of gear. If it’s great stuff, then it just means that I spend much of the game wandering ignoring all the other equipment for one item which slowly gets old; if it’s a beginning-level item, then it doesn’t seem worth it. Reminds me of when I started Morrowind how long ago, was ambushed by the Dark Brotherhood, and got that amazing OP gear. I couldn’t NOT use… Read more »

In my opinion if someone WANTS to preorder that’s fine. If the Store adds in a bonus with no effect on the game (such as Sun and Moon’s map of alola) or one that can be obtained in game without spending almost the entirety of the gameplay getting it, that’s fine. What ISN’T fine is when a gameplay bonus is given that is otherwise unobtainable, like that gun for Destiny 2 that is a preorder bonus. That’s like a shiv stab and a smack towards anyone who tries to get the game a few months later and then catch up.… Read more »
