Alex was the teen that was noclipping through solid matter with a glove. He had a birth defect with the hand not developing proper fingers (I don’t remember exactly)
Someone sic an AI on it. They can parse text, surely they can go through it all! (Should require Tim’s blessing, though… maybe Tim should run this idea out…then proof it before releasing the Wiki.)
Absolutely not, AI will not be able to actually parse any actual story details and characteristics from the comic especially because it doesnt really have pre-written text to go off of. I would honestly rather voulenteer my time and effort to help write for one than let AI half-hazardly guess whats been happening in a 10 year old comic.
I’m not sure they’re in a supervillains prison. It seemed pretty normal when Lucas went there. Plus if I’m escaping from a supervillains prison I think I’m going to grab more guys to go with me than a speedster and a hacker. There’s gotta be way more powerful guys in there than Elijah and Alex, you know? Let out some of Captain Prime’s villains or something.
Seems pretty dumb to put a speedster anywhere OTHER than a supervillains prison, that’s normally like the most overpowered ability in all of existence.
At least once he heals up, but even still, you’d put him in max security right from the start.
I mean hey, considering he also designed and built the glove, its likely his true power is less the glove itself and more the fact he could make it at all. Guessing if they develop an actual trio here he could function as the inventor of the group?
Rereading this, he’s either going to be the easiest to manipulate, or the one who’ll put a stop to the whole villain league later, or both.

Hooray. We’ve got a League going on. A Sinister Six situation? Or – A Terrible Trio?

Well, as relieved as I am that their relationship is not in jeopardy over this, Elijah AND the Troll on the loose? Uneasy alliance to say the lease, but still…poor guys can’t catch a break.
I wonder if a prison break piques Deathblood’s interest, or if he only cares if the police or courts let criminals go free. He said “the system had them, and let them walk free” but that’s certainly open to interpretation. A prison break isn’t “letting them walk free” but if a guard was in on it, that could count as “the system.” I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. BTW, Deathblood shows up October 2022 if anyone is searching the archives for it. I didn’t realize it had already been so long. Also, not sure if it’s possible,… Read more »

And here comes their Sinister Six. Or at least their Terrible Trio.
For as long as this series has run they’ve only had, what, five significant villains? Master/Zeke, Black Hat, Troll, Demolition Duke, and Elijah. The rest have been low level ordinary criminals.

Is it going to be revealed that Ethen’s girlfriend is basically this series of Harley Quinn and that she helped them escape?

Can Elijah even use his powers right now? He tore his hamstring and that can take AWHILE to heal up.
Given that we already saw him arrive in the prison block, there definitely is some way. Feel free to wonder whether that’s from time having passed, the comic justice system simply moving faster, or some temporary holding situation pending proper sentencing.
Let me guess. That Alex who escaped is actually Nicole who works with Troll and will break Ethan’s heart in some very brutal way. Or maybe will try to kill him. Or Ethan becomes suicidal after break up and will try to kill himself?

Last I checked, Elijah still has a pretty major injury for a speedster, so did somebody CARRY him out? Push his wheelchair out?
Regardless he isn’t much of a threat.

I’m trying to decide if Zeke is putting together a villain league (which would be sad) or if – and hear me out – Captain Prime is about to take a villain turn. She was pretty pissed when they caught Alex after she called them amateurs and didn’t want them screwing it up for her. What if it comes out that she’s basically the equivalent of a firefighter arsonist? She’s mad they’re taking some of the fame and glory away from her, so she’s specifically freeing their villains…

For those reading who don’t remember Alex, Alex Nguyen, otherwise known as the Black Hat, was a 20~ year old bank robber born with Symbrachydactyly (A condition in which a hand has underdeveloped fingers) who used a mechanical glove to become intangible (Source for the age and condition being 02.22 here: https://cad-comic.com/comic/analog-and-d-pad-02-22/). He was introduced as a more minor antagonist before the introduction of the Troll, initially cheating at a game tournament sponsored by Gamehaven under the name SunderX, revealing his abilities and tendency to use those abilites to get ill-gotten gains to support himself and his family. Apologies if… Read more »

And this is why you don’t keep super powered villains alive if they have committed murder. They inevitably escape. (which becomes a boring trope in comics, especially DC) It is why I don’t even blame the joker.. I blame batman. 1st time, sure, makes sense to try to be the better person. They break out though? Every single time they kill after that it is all on batman for not stopping the problem. Hopefully this is less DC and more Marvel in the outcomes.
But who has superpower here? The troll have nothing that we know of (have my own theories tho), Alex can’t do anything without his glove and Elijah can be easily neutralized once captured. There is no reason to treat them differently from any other criminal
Sure they aren’t all traditional super villains, but close enough in this comic series. Troll, has super trolling lol. and in some ways is a lex luther to ethan (he is normal, but would definitely put him in the bury him 20 ft down category).
As for the other two, they are super powered, regardless if they can be neutralized, or if it comes from a glove (that could be regained/remade), and clearly capturing them didn’t do much since they have since escaped. I feel like my point still stands.
Alex… what was the name of Zeke’s creator again?
The Master is not in jail. Last we saw was Zeke popping in on him, potentially for revenge. I’d guess he is still alive, but who knows.
IIRC, ZK said he was keeping him alive because he still needed him to help understand his own code and make more like him
Pretty sure Alex is ‘the Black Hat’, the guy with the remote who could hack reality.
Alex was the teen that was noclipping through solid matter with a glove. He had a birth defect with the hand not developing proper fingers (I don’t remember exactly)
christ this strip needs a wiki…
Not a bad idea. Someone wanna start one? Could put in the 1.0 stuff on there too.
Really does. One with links so that we can easily go back to story points.
looks like someone set one up for the original run but I’m not finding one for A+D
hmmmm
Someone sic an AI on it. They can parse text, surely they can go through it all! (Should require Tim’s blessing, though… maybe Tim should run this idea out…then proof it before releasing the Wiki.)
AI is trash and frequently gets things wrong more than right
It certainly has its flaws, but it is pretty good at writing code, and getting better all the time.

It’s been 10 years since the relaunch as superheroes?
(delete, double post)
In case you’re still curious about the Master’s name though, it’s Eugene Howard. https://cad-comic.com/comic/identified/
oh boy. And now they have their very own Villain League in the making…
But it is nice to see Ben is keeping calm and not blaming Lucas.
Plus he is probably right, they don’t have any reason to be too suspicious.
The League was very much hinted at when Elijah went to jail.
https://cad-comic.com/comic/desperate-measures-p24/
A villain league who knows the true identities of Analog and D-Pad, none the less. Unless Elijah decided not to reveal them.
I don’t remember Ethan or Lucas revealing their identity to Elijah? Only the Master knows as far as I know.
Maybe I misinterpreted what Elijah meant when he said that Analog was also complicit.
Pretty sure it’s because they are video game superheros.
“Meanwhile, at the legion of internet jerks”
Honestly, that’s not a bad group name. Or at least that is what Ethan should use to mock them.
I would say it’s now a Captain Prime level of thing. Three villains escaping together from a supervillains prison? Surely their rating is up

Two speedsters, as Alex have this ability too
Alex wasn’t a speedster, all his powers came from a glove he made.
So he could be in a normal prison but the glove itself would normally be locked up in a supermax federal vault somewhere.
Alex: https://cad-comic.com/comic/analog-and-d-pad-02-15/
What did he do again?
Robbed a bunch of banks. He could no clip/speed clip, but that’s all we saw.
Yeah, but he didn’t have any powers himself, they all came from his glove.
And unless this is a comedy prison, I can’t imagine they would keep his glove at the prison for him, it’d be locked away in a federal vault somewhere.
I mean hey, considering he also designed and built the glove, its likely his true power is less the glove itself and more the fact he could make it at all. Guessing if they develop an actual trio here he could function as the inventor of the group?
Unless him building it was a total fluke and not easily repeated the same way as the master building Zeke.
thank you, i had completely forgotten all of this.
Rereading this, he’s either going to be the easiest to manipulate, or the one who’ll put a stop to the whole villain league later, or both.

It is just Duke.

It wouldn’t be uncommon for a speedster to have accelerated healing, but yeah, not something we’ve seen yet.
Unless 6+ months have passed, there is no way Elijah would already be sentenced and in a prison block with other convicted criminals.
Given that we already saw him arrive in the prison block, there definitely is some way. Feel free to wonder whether that’s from time having passed, the comic justice system simply moving faster, or some temporary holding situation pending proper sentencing.
Doesn’t necessarily have to be sentenced – could just be denied bail due to his powers and remanded to custody.
Anyone think Nicole could be one of their sister’s or related somehow? Would that too predictable for Tim?

The Evil League of Evil is watching so beware…
Remember it was their capture of Alex and the ensuing publicity that caught the attention of the Troll.
OK but I can’t imagine Elijah siding with the Troll. Can he even stand after what that glue bomb did to his leg?
Could speed hopping be a thing?
Let me guess. That Alex who escaped is actually Nicole who works with Troll and will break Ethan’s heart in some very brutal way. Or maybe will try to kill him. Or Ethan becomes suicidal after break up and will try to kill himself?
