Well, THAT’S an interesting way to resolve the Nicole situation. “My abuse target is secretly a superhero who’s freaking out about his arch-nemesis and adjacent villains getting loose” is definitely NOT in the abuser’s standard playbook and it’s anyone’s guess how it’ll play out.
“No, you’re not allowed to go out tonight, how dare you, after I made all these plans!”
“THERE’S A GUY WITH A BOMB AT CITY HALL THREATENING TO BLOW IT ALL UP IF I’M NOT THERE IN TWENTY MINUTES”
The proof is in how she treats Ethan. It’s not much of a stretch to conclude that she’ll be a bitch to Scott based on that, and given that his disability is front and center, it’s a high priority target.
Considering he got that disability from the same incident that killed Ethan’s sister, I wonder if that would be enough for Ethan to see Nicole more clearly.
Well, no. He’d still be alive and they wouldn’t. The whole ‘super numby escapes and kills more people’ would (in any realistic world) lead to ‘can’t keep you contained, have only one option’.
For the joker i absolutely agree with you. for the others? eh maybe not so much. Harleen is the best example of one of his villains who did successfully turn herself away from crime. Ivy is currently going through a change for the greater good and has had episodes in the past where she wasn’t super villainy. Harvey was bruces friend and is genuinely mentally ill, and when that shit is under control he is an actual force for good. Clayface was actually on team bat and saved the city from a literal army of monsters not too long ago.… Read more »
…. Except to the rife load of corruption in Gotham to the point of being ineffective. That’s the whole reason Batman started going after all sorts of criminals – Gotham’s systems are more corrupt than effective.
That would depend on the specific incarnation we’re talking about, since plenty of versions of Batman work closely with them, but all the more reason to blame them anyways. Also, are you trying to say that the reason people like the Joker aren’t being given the death penalty is corruption? Like, I can get why you’d think so for the Penguin or others who can be lucrative to keep around, but corruption ain’t gonna save those who aren’t making the corrupt any money.

Okay genuine question, does Scott have*other* Ethan news kits? Does he have a ‘Good news’ kit with like, a tazer to make him stop hugging him, a ‘The game you were looking forward to has been canceled’ kit and a ‘Star Citizen was actually released finished’ kit lol

Maybe Nicole is “in on it” with the Troll, kind of his “Harley”?
Doesn’t seem too likely. Troll doesn’t (didn’t?) know about Ethan, he’s just into hating Analog. Even if he did know Ethan, it makes little sense for Nicole to be in his employ. Troll wouldn’t even know about Ethan dating from jail, especially since he had zero way of knowing which dating site Ethan would be on (and that Ethan wouldn’t have gotten a different date in the meantime). Also a typical ‘infiltration date’ would make some effort to have the relationship work out, rather than giving the target every reason to break up and ruin the whole plan. Nicole could… Read more »

May Scoot scoot in, take one look up at the situation, and make a single disarming comment that cuts all her manipulations off at the knees.
imma be real honest with you chief, i finally started reading ctrlaltdel thinking why not, it must be good since it’s been going on so long, from like part 10 of this, and i dont just have zero idea what’s going on, i have negative idea
i just wanted to see more of their messed up relationship ðŸ˜
D-Pad: “I just cleaned up this mess, can we keep it clean for, for ten minutes?”
This gave me an instant flashback to that page: https://cad-comic.com/comic/heroic-janitors/

“The public is in danger!”
“My evening is in danger!”
“the public?! So you care about other people more than me?”
“I’m doing this for the greater good!”
“Greater good? I’m the greatest good you’re ever going to get!”
YOU TELL ME WHERE MY SUIT IS, WOMAN! WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE GREATER GOOD!
WHERE IS MY SUPER SUIT?
It’ll be the suit that is too tight for him…..
“YOU TELL ME WHERE MY SUIT IS, WOMAN! WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE GREATER GOOD!”
“Greater good? I am your WIFE! I am the greatest GOOD you are EVER gonna get!”
The horrifying moment when the abuser finds out her target is actually immortal and so there’s no longer a limit for how far you can go.
😳
The interaction between Scott and Nicole will be interesting. I have zero proof, but I guess she might be nasty about his disability

That’s a really good observation. Curious to see how that plays out.
This is why Batman is dumb for not offering more permanent solutions to getting rid of super villains.
If Batman started killing his villains, he’d be no different from them.

That isn’t, and shouldn’t be, Batman’s responsibility. You want a death sentence, your beef should be with Gotham’s justice system.

Amen to that
I see what you did there.

Would recommend reading the Analog & D-Pad series from the start.
The TL:DR on what’s going on right now is two different things:
-Ethan/Analog is dating a rather horrible person.
-Analogs nemesis Troll has just broken out of jail, and apparently brought two the first antagonists with him.
Does anyone have a link to the Alex Nguyen arc? I have zero memory of this character and I haven’t found anything through google.

Which one was Alex?

I fully believe there’s also probably candy inside and some water to rehydrate. They are prepared for his nonsense, all of it.
But how did things go for Ben at his job?
