Ethan needs to fight crime again. His crusade to clear his backlog is causing emotional trau……
Oh wait, it’s Ethan. Never mind

Panel 3: I can definitely echo Scott’s sentiment here. Been playing a frankly frightening amount of “Hardspace: Shipbreaker” lately while chilling and listening to podcasts.
AAAAH! That was the name of that! I’d totally forgotten!

I imagine I’ll get downvoted for this, but I’m going to say it anyway – Ethan is acting more like his CAD 1.0 self, and I don’t like it. I really hope he gets back/confirms he still has his powers soon, so we can go back to crime fighting instead of this CAD 1.0 mundane soap opera stuff.
I had the same thought. While I don’t mind a peek back into what came before, I also hope something brings him out of it sooner rather than later. But if not in THIS arc, we finally get some answers in the next.
Yeah, it drags on a bit by now… I was fun so far, bit I’m more than ready for this to be over.
On the other hand, maybe Tim is taking a breather here trying to figure out where to go from here. Apart from Ethan’s powers, there isn’t really a lot of open story points…

And here I didn’t think Ethan could be any more disconnected from reality than he already was.

I get he feeling that could actually work… maybe with an array of capacitive sensors along the inside.
Then we can also get a truly immersive experience for Amazon Warehouse Simulator.

Ah so that’s why this issue is called “Missing Pieces”. Ethan needs to find out who makes the piss bottle peripheral.

If you think this is bad, just wait until the next Fallout game is released

“[…], starting fires…” – that pretty much settles it: definitely The Sims 4. Getting FloridaMan vibes here. 😀
Fairly sure this is as close to OC Ethan as we have come in this go-around.

Scott needs to swap whatever driving/hauling sim Ethan is playing with SnowRunner, that will snap him out of any desire to drive ever again…then again it might also cause a murderous rampage and psychotic breakdown.
….stupid helium fill truck tires.

Ethan is gonna flip when a Lilah shows up in his Sims game.
Do you mean as a random chance NPC looking and possibly acting just like her, or do you assume he’s playing with online features and liable to interact with Lilah as a fellow player?
Yes 😛 On a more serious note: I thought it would have been a random NPC that was randomly called Lilah whatshername and she’d be so similar to the real Lilah that it would blur the lines between reality and fantasy for Ethan (not that he needs those lines blurred, mind you). I don’t play Sims 4, so I had no idea that there were online features and interacting with other players this way. So perhaps Ethan could assume that it’s an NPC but it would actually be Lilah? I mean, “Rebekah” was a dead giveaway, wasn’t it? In using… Read more »
The name is actually spelled רִבְקָה‎, not Rebecca or Rebekah. Simplified modern Israeli transcription is Rivkah and ISO 259-2 transliteration is Ribqah‎. Rebekah and Rebecca are transcriptions intended for English speakers and neither of them appears in the original Bible. The distinction made in KJV translation preferring Rebekah in the Old Testament and Rebecca in the New Testament comes from the sources: for NT, Textus Receptus by Erasmus who worked from the Greek originals (hence the Greek transliteration which drops the customary final “h”) and for OT, Masoretic Text, which, being in Hebrew, would result in a more meticulous approach… Read more »

I just had a thought. What if that green serum is slowly turning Ethan into kind of a CAD 1.0 Ethan?

I feel like this could almost be the backstory for the previous iteration of CAD. A lot of people have mentioned how well adjusted Ethan seems a lot of the time – not mad scientist-y; really excited about video games, but not quite deifying them (till this more recent arc); surprisingly logical (though – they do reference the Ethan def-con chart)… Like I know that Zeke already exists and that Scott’s in a wheelchair, but I could see a universe where this is Ethan actually starting to become previous Ethan, the serum is real and somehow all other superpowered people… Read more »

IMHO, I feel like we’ve established where everyone is at mentally now. Time to move the story forward some.

Eww, not Logitech. I was very disappointed with a Logitech mouse that kept right-clicking itself without me even touching it. I shudder to think what their bottle peripherals would do.

Ethan wants a gaming catheter, Playtech should be able to help 😉

I have been enjoying Farming Simulator 22 a lot recently, it’s strangely relaxing. Kid me would be very disappointed.
Why not try SimRail – it’s still quite a lot of calm navigating the routes while the kid in you cheers in awe just because trains! 🙂
When I play a game with a big map, the absolute last thing I want is to be on-rails; it’s the bondage fetish of motorized transportation.
Go exploring in Elite; Dangerous. Go see the sights, meditate. The journey is the goal.
Agreed, such a chill game. Especially if you have a hotas setup.

There is NO way I am getting this simulator.
Anyone wanna take bets on how long he held out?
The pee bottle support is optional DLC

The name is still semi-popular among Christians and Jews, since it’s an old Hebrew name that makes an appearance in the Bible.
