Have a friend who is very introverted. He’d rather talk to people online than people in person 99% of the time.
For myself, the only time I’m playing games other than with a social group online (some now live literally on the other side of the world) are when I’m in pain and can’t sleep or I’m too stressed. It’s not a great thing, but I could be sitting in a chair reading or something – it’d be the same.
At least I recognize that that’s not a good place to be.
That game particularly requires some small degree of attention and there is a small bit of satisfaction any time you clear a level without really needing high levels of function. It was the only game on my flip phone (doesn’t work as well on a smart phone). It was almost the same as closing my eyes and meditating for a short period.

I feel like this is an almost perfect time… for the Surprise Arrow to make a return. He’s even made enough enemies who /could/ bring Ninjas in to make it realistic.
