After doing some research I found out ‘Rebekah’ isn’t some horrible ‘modern’ spelling, but actually an ancient spelling in Hebrew and is present in the bible. My remark can be explained in some horrible way, which definitely was not meant like that.
The spelling is actually “רִבְקָה”, not “Rebekah” or “Rebecca”. It’s just that KJV translation, semi-consistently used “Rebekah” in the Old Testament and “Rebecca” in the New Testament.
You’re right, but I think it is more important that it *could* be viewed as bigotry. Thus such negative messages can covertly or even openly be voiced to others and spread.
Yah dude but not everyone can read the hebrew alphabet. “Rebekah” is a good enough transliteration of Resh-Beyt-Kof-He for modern purposes. If you use the most phonetically accurate one, Rīvqa, i guarantee most people won’t understand what you mean.
Noooo. He’s showing up to work, talking to people, bathing, aware of the passage of time – all of which means he hasn’t hit MMO-levels of concern. Fallout would be him staging a full-on invasion of Bethesda.
I think we’re around “Adopts an animal” level. There’s only minor differences here. Pro, he can’t accidently starve or decapitate Rebekah, nor can Rebekah bite anyone or inject them with venom. Con, the animal tells him to do things.
It does, but there could be many more pages of further details or different scales I guess? Could have instructions of what to do, or maybe it was intented as a pH joke, possibly having been typod.
Where does Monster Hunter fall? I think below an MMO.
It could also be that the other 18 pages are filled with all green entrys so you don´t have to worry when you can identify the state.
But only having 6 alarming states out of 133 (19×7) seems unlikely (provided green is color for not to worry and the rest of the pages are all green)
Only Tim would be able to giva a clear answer on that, everything else is only a fun speculation 🙂
Obviously the rest of the pages give a detailed breakdown of each of the listed stages and provide steps on managing them, page 1 would merely be the front easy reference page to help you find the right section…..
Oh and at this point scott should most definitely be beyond worried as ethan, of all people, merging reality and simulation into one existence with an interconnectedness perceived only by him should terrify anybody and clearly exceeds any danger the chart covers………

Its mildly surprising that Donut/Pizza Shortage is ranked higher than the Troll …
Imagine how bad it would be if Ethan DIDN’T have donuts or pizza during the crisis!

Datin could be considered a MM game without the online part. So, dating an AI girlfriend should definitely be somewhere between playing a MMO and Dating.
If the AI girlfriend is from a post-apocalyptic world it begins to get tricky.

It truly has been a hot second since the last Fallout entry. There’s only so many times one can re-mod their umpteenth playthrough of 3/New Vegas/4 until there’s a strong hankering for something new!

Ah, perhaps the ‘missing pieces’ are just missing categories in the Ethcon system!

I was already thinking “Rebekah? Who is this? Damn, I have to re-read old issues” before even getting to panel 2.

I’d be pretty worried tbh. Even with a normal person. But with ethan, even more.

It would be awesome if the Troll found this chart, and realize how relatively low he is.

Rebekah: NPC in a simulation game, ChatGPT he started talking to when he was bored, or ZK wanting to hang out without admitting it?

I actually felt similar playing Tavern Manager Simulator. At later stages you’re so busy it’s crazy.

It’s alarming there are 18 other pages of green or lower panic conditions

I like how The Troll is less alarming than adopting an animal, playing an MMO or Fallout release. Only makes you wonder how bad those things are in this iteration for him.

Can probably take new fallout game off the list… Bethesda is an empty shell of what it once was.

I’d probably put this under starting an MMO level, cause more or less he is just in a disjointed fashion.

Between “Adopts and Animal” and “Starts Playing an MMO” I’d figure – these games might as well be.

this feels between adopt an animal (an AI) and starting an MMO with the grind level to me.

Well if that isn’t a cry for help, I don’t know what is. Scott saying “You don’t have a power washer, or a house, or a Rebekah” is just funny.

I love how The Troll is only a defcon 3 compared to all the traditional “Ethan-isms” we have known the character for over more than a decade of comics 🙂

Well, that’s just page 1 of 19, maybe around page 14 there’s an accurate description of the situation
So…. what game(s) is he on about? Rebekah? Not that the spelling isn’t already a red flag.
My best guess is that he has an AI girlfriend now, and then just strings together a number of simulator games for the chores.
It’s sounds exactly like that.
AI girlfriend + Powerwash Simulator and Houseflipper ( one or two, both have lawnmowing )
Hell, Lawn Mowing Simulator by itself is a thing.

Based on a later comic Sims3
Definitely between MMO and Animal.
I’d say between MMO and new Fallout. That sounds like too many sidequests.

Page 1 of 19, I’d like to know what rates beyond new Fallout…
yep animal and lover would be same for him and the chores are akin to an MMO grind.
lol…..Page 1 of 19
Yeah, though the color coding would suggest otherwise, right?
Scott had to invent colors unknown to man
A mantis shrimp superhero helped

I think it’s that each page starts on red and descends to green, they just didn’t feel like writing up 18 more pages
i take it page 1 is the ethcon scale and the other 18 are contigancy plans for them.
