I am loving the recent character development arcs of our Main Three. Ethan is coming to terms with possibly not being super anymore and Scott has accepted that Zeke is a person in their own right. Now we have Lucas who, while currently still in the “denial” phase, is slowly accepting that he’s developing actual feelings for Ben. I personally would love to see more of him, too. Either in a “conflict of values” plotline where Ben is anti-super, or where he gets in trouble, has to be saved by Lucas (revealing his identity in the process), and then becomes… Read more »
I’d rather hope that it’s the latter one, since the first one IMHO is massively overdone and unfun ‘status quo is king’, only topped by the love interest actually being one of the villians
Although possibly seeing an somewhat angstly philosophical “I’d prefer a world with no Supers,at all, whether Capes or Villains … but given the hand that’s dealt, it’s probably the least bad choice to follow along”
I would remind you that we already had the “anti-super” angle through Ethan’s relationship with Emily. Doing it again with Ben would likely just end up feeling redundant without some other twist.
I think we can do with grey shades. Ben doesn’t need to be anti-super. Lucas his attachment to Ben is conflict enough. For Ethan, as they agreed a reporter or cop would likely find out sooner and give more risk if it went wrong, which didn’t let Ethan date someone he likes. For Lucas, as it was him being the voice of reason and proposing it, and he’s breaking it right now. Especially as it is out of character for him to date so long. The cop can be pro hero, but only if they are vetted by the government.… Read more »
As soon as he says, “God, life is good, you know? Me and Ben, we’ve got it all figured out. We’re buying those ten acres in the countryside; starting up a rescue for injured animals… maybe we’ll even have a family one day, who knows? There’s a world of possibilities in front of us!” that means Ben’s got less than 24 hours.
We don’t see what Ben acts like outside of their dates.
(in the meantime, Ben with some friend of his) “…and I have no idea, what a guy like Lucas sees in me, but I don’t want him to go away, so feel like I have to earn it, you know…?” (probably could have been phrased better)
Guess he’s a goner ….
Sing it with me fellows:
Ooooonlyyy youuuuuuuu can make this wooorld seem riiight
“What’s wrong, Rook?”
Legit just finished replaying that haha
I mean, he was always at risk of getting caught by the cops. It just happened differently than he expected.
There might be some similarities. Use of handcuffs, good cop / bad cop, that sort of thing.
Mission Failed
Task failed successfully.
Seems like the next Troll victim has already a name
Honestly, if this is the romantic arc instead of Ethan, I’m down.
Down? Hook, line and sinker?

I would love to see Ben become a guy on the inside.
…That came out wrong. But I’m not going to change it. 😅

This post made me realize that this is similar to the CW Flash tv show. Having a sympathetic cop and reporter on the hero team does make some sense.
Afraid we already know the name of the Troll’s next victim..
As long as Lucas fights it, he’s fine.
As soon as he says, “God, life is good, you know? Me and Ben, we’ve got it all figured out. Yup, the inverse-future formula. The more of a future the Main Character sees with a love interest, the sooner the love interest dies.
Gotta wait till Ben is one day from retirement
Helldiver Lucas, did you remember to fill out your C-01 Permit?
C-01 permits are only needed on acts that may result in pregnancy or childbirth.
With superpowers you never know….
I’m actually glad to see Lucas being the less-than-perfect one this time.
Watch this guy turn out to be the Troll.
Scott’s world no longer makes sense!
Down bad, Lucas, down bad.
Scott must be thinking that his friends are less normal than usual. They’re both in denial about stuff.
In before we find out that he’s actually Deathblood.
I like how only Lucas has a problem with this turn of events.
Best part about this is Lucas is the only one freaking out about it.
We don’t see what Ben acts like outside of their dates.
