I think Lucas’s rant is not fair. Ethan almost lost the love of his life and worked his ass off to win the bet to get the store. I thought Lucas would know that.
The problem is that Ethan was keeping it a secret from everyone because he wanted to deliver results to Lilah as a surprise gift… but then that ended up with the two of them getting a shotgun wedding in Jamaica, so he can’t tell that story to Lucas without sharing that little fact. And Lilah already swore him to secrecy because she wants to have a public ceremony down the line, so he can’t share that fact.
