…So, do we know if Demolition Duke’s armor is still lying around somewhere?

Great idea. Even without respawns, you can still be a superhero, if you get the right equipment. You can be just like Batman. Except you aren’t trained in combat, aren’t rich, and aren’t a brilliant detective. You even have a deranged jokeresque lunatic gunning for you already. I see no possible problem there at all.
I’m pretty sure we’ll be able to see the shoulder pads from space.

Oh Ethan, let Scott make the armour at least, or else I can see him going out in full cosplay armour thinking it’s as good as the real thing.

Bad idea. An undying hero that starts appearing with an armor? He can just scream “I’m vulnerable! Come and kill me!”
Also, do Ethan usually survive encounters? I think he dies at least once in each time the villain tries to kill him. Maybe by playing safe he might have a full encounter by himself without dying once, but the chances are not in his side here
I feel like if Scott was capable of building an iron man type suit, he would have made himself one, or at least some variation of a robotic assistance.
It would allow him to walk agian at the very least.

Also-
Ethan: (get into crazy shit, going to die for real, needs backup)
Lucas: (have to decide whether to help and reveal himself in front of Ben for good)
Ben: “Oh, for G-d sake, half the neighborhood knows your secret identity, we don’t care much. Just go and help him”

I feel like a page was skipped. It’s not like this comic to leave out the context if it’s not going to be a last-panel punchline.
Yes, and on that page he decided playing games wasn’t enough, then quit to go back to helping actual people. (And came back for a last-panel punchline to keep his digital hospital running in his absence.)
Quickly Detachable Armour! Otherwise you have the whole no capes argument only with a chestplate stuck in a door.

One question I’ve never seen asked or addressed is, how often did Analog actually die? Like was it a nightly thing? How much of that was basically allowing it to happen because of the respawn. Because if the dying isn’t a given, some extra fight training and some protection in the suit might be enough.

Armor is a good idea regardless. Even if he can respawn, if armor allows him to get in another move before going down it should be worthwhile. I wouldn’t imagine it should be anything heavy given the grappling shenanigans he’s up to.

Wait…he has trained his combat and acrobatic skills…it is just, he trusts more in his respawn ability then…
Ethan should be quite good at combat and acrobatic. He just needs a gamepad to control his own body.
Based on the horrible things that Rathian did to him awhile back I’m not convinced he’s actually any good at games, just that he enjoys them…
He’s pretty decent at in in real life. I swings on a rope like a pro when he knows he can’t die.
How many times did he get gunned down by the biker gang BEFORE Deathblood showed up…?
Iron gamer coming up!
So, Lucas will find out when Ethan accidentally disrupts a date between him and Ben(?), while he is superheroing
“I swear, my partner and I decided to lay low now. We might even retire the superhero life!”
*Ethan crashes through, ruining their dinner table*
Ben: “You were saying?”
A gamer with an idea for armour… This will be ‘subtle’ huh?
I’m hoping metal bikini with the same protection level as full plate mail.
You can do this Scott!

Yeah, Ethan seems a tad over-relaint onnthe infinite lives power. Hell, we’ve seen him kill himself once or twice in order to get the drop on a dude.
Even plastic armor can be useful! Not against bullets, but potentially minor stabbings and concussions. Think a bicycle helmet- for your whole body.
I am so on board with Scott making an Iron-Ethan suit.
Actually. That idea scares me just a little.

Two pages ago.
Two pages ago he was playing computer games.
Yes, and on that page he decided playing games wasn’t enough, then quit to go back to helping actual people. (And came back for a last-panel punchline to keep his digital hospital running in his absence.)
Huh. Yep, there it is. Somehow I missed the context twice. Not sure if I was tired, just skimming the talking-to-computer-game joke, or both.
I’ll be disappointed if I don’t see “armor” next strip
That would be a hell of fasta 3D printer!
Or a lot of duct tape and pan lids. You know, depending on if it’s Scott or Ethan making the armor.
Or a nice montage
