I think I’m kind of getting a “Flowers for Algernon” vibe from this story arc. Poor Algernon. Poor Charlie.

Upon reflection of the story I feel that Ethan’s psychological disorders are created more by his parents then any actual act Ethan has performed. Ethan’s parents have always considered him as an “afterthought” and he is only important as long as Rory is not present. Then comes video games which give him a medium that helps to validate his own life. He becomes the important one and is someone worthy of love. His acts of chaos could be consigned as cries for attention as most likely the only time his parents would focus solely on him is when all hell… Read more »
