I am wondering: does Zeke know that Ethan may have lost his power? It happened after he fled (I mean, Ethan died during the escape, so I am pretty certain that the syringe incident happened afterwards) and I don’t think Ethan said it when he found him back.(I can remember wrongly though)
Zeke probably keeps tabs on Ethan from a distance. Ethan was pretty much the only human to treat Zeke with any kind of dignity, and autonomy afterall. While he might have trust issues thanks to the whole bomb to the dome thing and he definitely doesnt want to be in Ethan and Lucas’ care at all, he probably still had a soft spot for Ethan and kept tabs on him from a distance.
Like a more wholesome stalker tracking an easily distracted and somewhat oblivious target.
But imagine: because they is so damn intelligent, they already knows that the power loss didn’t happen (analyse blood or something like that) but Zeke also doesn’t understand human psychology (no interaction with Master and you can’t say that Ethan is a good example for human psychology). So they didn’t understand that Ethan had a mental crisis and Zeke might even be under the impression that Ethan has already seen through the bluff. I would like to voice my dissatisfaction with the fact that I correctly called it on the previous page that Ethan would stop Zeke from killing the Troll.
I mean, I get it, but doesn’t mean I have to be happy about it. There are some people who fully deserve deletion from this world. Troll sits very firlmy on that list.

For me, watching Tim balance between, the satisfaction of killing the personification on online trolling, versus the deeper redemption of Zeke and what it means to be human is enthralling. Subjective as it is, I feel it was important to for Zeke to reach that Batman moment (doesn’t kill), that Tolkien moment (“do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement, for even the very wise cannot see all ends.” – Tolkien). I feel it shows how Ethan’s morality won through, and that’s what I want in my super heros (…that and *presentation*)

If he doesn’t, I can imagine Zeke making a move to go and try and ‘end it quickly’ for Ethan so he’ll feel better.
