I always hated the Resident Evil fixed cameras, main reason I don’t play the games. Always felt the suspense/horror/whatever being the reason for it was kind of silly. Dead Space didn’t have a fixed camera and was plenty spooky enough.
I disliked them too. The controls were terrible. It wasn’t scary or suspenseful, just eye-roll inducing.
I probably won’t like the RE2 remake either, but I got it for free with my new GPU. (Alongside DMC5, which I do expect to like.) I’ll try to give it a fair shot of at least 30 minutes… assuming they won’t do that annoying thing where you’re stuck in absurdly lengthy cutscenes and incredibly prolonged tutorials.
that goddamn giant croc got a shot right in the canister
BUT I COULDN’T SEE ANY OF IT BECAUSE I WAS ALL THE WAY DOWN THE CORRIDOR!!
(really took a lucky shot with that one ahah)
and then I had to leave my friend’s place to go home, never to play that game again

One of the first times I ever dropped acid I rolled up to my buddy mike’s place right when he was starting that fight.
That was what we refer to as a Mistake.
