Devs: “We are ready to start external testing! just give us some servers and we’ll be good to go!” EA: “Servers are expensive, can you do without them?” Devs: “… but you made us make an online game, how are we supposed to do that without servers?” EA: “… This game will print money, yes?” Dev: “Thats not exactly how it-…we’ll add some paid cosmetics.” EA: “can you make fifty dollar skins?” Devs “oh we can make WAY more than fifty skins.” EA: “no no no. not fifty skins that cost a dollar, skins that cost fifty dollars.” Devs: “that… Read more »
I was in one of the closed alpha tests a few months ago and loading screen wait times were pretty crazy. Though the game was pretty fun, felt like a mix of the mechanics of Destiny with the story of Mass Effect.

I dunno I had fun. The game itself is solid. I don’t know that it’s “groundbreaking” but it’s fun to play, and I could totally see myself playing it for many hours without thinking about it, just farming the phat lewt. (hopefully the lewt is phatter than it was in the demo)
Here’s hoping EA doesn’t completely screw the pooch

Guys… I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this, but if you honestly truly believe that EA has seen the light, had a road to Damascus moment, changed their ways and made a switch…you are an idiot. You are Milenda, the abused spouse of the gaming industry, and EA is the abusive jock ex-boyfriend that you gave you a black eye when you burnt dinner. It won’t “be different next time”. It’s just the same old thing.
I’m not entirely enraptured by “Borderlands, but with Jetpack suits but less funny”.
People want to pull in Warframe as a comparison?
Right, remind me of the game I’ve put 1000 hours into before they revamped Mastery Rank and Melee and now it’s a bit more impenetrable for new players with awesome content like Plains and Orb Vallis but good luck farming 126,000 rep when your limit is 3,000 a day.
