This was actually me with Breath of the Wild. Didn’t click with me until about 6 hours in. Then suddenly bam, I dropped 150 or so hours into the game. And perhaps Tears of the Kingdom too, as I haven’t quite been able to get into that one just yet after about ~8 hours.
those are strange games for me, I found both to be meh games, but they are a great timewaster so I kept going just wandering around, I managed to finish botw but I cannot find the focus to finish totk
I struggled to get into that game. I didn’t get past the tutorial area and ended up giving it away to a friend who was interested in it.
I had heard really good things but it just didn’t click with me. The weapon degradation didn’t help at all.
I could not stand BotW. Played for an hour or two, was bored as shit, and put it down. I enjoy more action-oriented games like God of War, Spiderman, etc. Just wasn’t for me, not saying others are wrong for loving it.

Starfield ain’t got nothing on some JRPG’s that get good around 50 hours in.
I must be one of the odd ones. I liked the game from the start. I thought Lin and Heller were well portrayed as they felt like people I have worked with. It took me several hours to find the kinks in the game I really needed to work around.
And well some of that was me being trained by Fallout 4 to pickup absolutely everything that is not nailed down.

I was thinking the exact same thing.
