I’ve always wondered about that too. The only conclusion I could figure is don’t feed them…Ever.

Everyone wonders that but I think their logic isn’t the technicality we think about, but something similar to “don’t wear white after labor day” and then after the very first year, everyday for the rest of time is technically after labor day. BUT every year resets and it’s a new year so maybe the gremlins universe is that every day at a certain time it technically resets to BEFORE midnight. Or maybe I’m just way overthinking this.
“After midnight” is equal to “before dawn” and is a period between midnight and dawn. If you guys wanna go “technical” or rather “grammatically correct” about it.

And what about time zones? And is it strictly American time? I mean, in the middle of the afternoon here, it’s after midnight on the other side of the globe somewhere, right?

What do you mean, it “resets to” before midnight. Whole day is “technically” before midnight. As well as after midnight.
It’s easy: (for example) it’s after midnight when it’s before noon and it’s before midnight when it’s after noon 😛

I’d assume its time zone sensitive, because we as humans will get used to timezo es and wake up when sun is out, we can assume they will too.
