I totally feel you, especially on sunny days. I live directly under the roof, a black roof, heading south, also 2 big windows heading south … on a winters day its possible to go from hoodie+t+shirt+undershirt to just undershirt – and back within 12 hours when its sunny outside.

Oh, I forgot to put on a hoodie. I was wondering why I was so miserable all day.

“Hoodie”? Oh the thing I break out when temperature drops below -20 celsius… man you southern folk are soft for light cooling.
A fellow cold lover…. I was in northern Ontario when it was -18C walking down the street in a tee shirt eating an ice cream.
Should have seen the number of double takes I got doing that. I was also confused for being a native when I went to Iceland because…. Well…. T-Shirt in November

I dunno, upstate NY Tim here, we are still hitting 80 degrees during the day. It has really thrown off my hoodie growing season.

As a fellow mammal who grew up and is still living in that climate zone, the autumnal skins change daily & sometimes hourly. As the weather cools, most days it is chilly in the morning, so a hoodie is desired, as the day warms the hoodie is shed, but re-grows as soon as the sun goes down. But in this season there are warm days where there are only shorts & t-shirt skins required. The next day it may be cold & rainy so a skin of long pants & some sort of waterproof jacket is used instead. As a… Read more »

I am the opposite. Every opportunity to do so is spent with the bare minimum of shorts, T-shirt, and a pair of flip-flops, or light shoes. This is my attire, even when it snows. Even when the snow is tickling my bare feet wearing said flip-flops. I love the cold. It invigorates me, makes me feel like I grow more alive during the winter months. By contrast, though, I shrink and die a bit during the height of summer. It makes me sweaty, and I begrudge having to move around in the heat. I wear hearing devices, and if it’s… Read more »

My hoodie is my Linus blanket. I work from home in my basement and I’ll wear one in everyday.

Fellow northeastern Tim here, but my flock migrated south one season and never went back. I never did get used to southern weather, but I always preferred open jackets to hoodies. NC autumn is cozy to me, and winter leaves me wishing for the northern lake-effect snows.

Reminds me of a shirt I saw recently for a 5-day forecast for Cleveland:
Saturday was Partly Cloudy 72°
Sunday was Thunderstorm 38°
Monday was Sunny 89°
Tuesday was Snow 14°
Wednesday was Rain/Snow mix and ??°

Here in the central valley in CA…. My car said is was 102 yesterday still… We did get rain a few days ago, it usually will not rain until October or November here. I cannot wait for hoodie or flannel weather! I even have a flannel that is a hoodie at the same time.

in the PNW we never lose our hoodie as it rarely gets above 90 degrees unless you’re on the other side of the mountains.

As a Canadian, I don’t know what “cold” is. Heat destroys me but summers are short here, short enough I don’t bother wasting money on an AC. Unless it’s below 0 I’m good with just a long sleeve T.

It’s that time of year again! Fluffing season.

How do you know that the temperature is below -20 celsius in Finland?
They close the windows.
The strip says he’s “native to the northeast.”
Not what I thought, but you can learn something new every day.
According to the great sage Google.
That is only -4 freedom units. So I have to ask, is that regular or with wind?
Early winter with wind on north western coast line, you know at latitudes that allow calling Anchorage Alaska south.
