given what we’ve seen from the corruption in the federation i suspect that the federation will be caught off guard. i suspect we will see at least three to four memberships of various sizes forced to capitulate rather quickly and this isn’t even considering the amount of bureaucratic nonsense that is bound to popup with members arguing on how to respond

Is the choice thing still applicable in this story?
It’s a race / class feat. You have to buy it with experience point if you’re not one of these dudes.

Interesting, they seem to be Greco-Roman.
You’d think they would wear quality light weight body armor at all times, then again maybe their species is incredibly durable.
In many Imperial settings, the enemy without is far less dangerous than the enemy that calls you brother and plants the knife in your back when the circumstances are most favourable…. Et tu, bro?

Hey, they’re having the same discussion we were last update – what’s more powerful, a small army with two megalasers, or a giant army with one megalaser!
Also, if this is the first choice of the issue, I am so down (hey we’ve had non-Cort choices before – Nyrah’s response on Oros II, what she does with the Starcaster when Cort’s shot…)
Oh yeeeeeeeeah, let US chose a planet to raze! I am all for genocide! Just give us a small few details what the planet’s population, economic worth and military might is before we cast a vote, Tim!
Mostly because the story would become untenable, letting the audience guide all sides of a conflict. I’d lose control of the narrative. There need to be forces against which the protagonists are working.
Plus you could just make it a 50%50% option, then we can’t mess with the story too much. Expect ofc the first race that gets wiped out is story important then ofc we can’t have any say. But if not, why not? :3
Would we really be doing anything but choosing the name/appearance of the planet, though? I mean, it’s not as though we know what each of these planets are. Just throw in some random names with pictures, let us choose, then use that for the artwork whenever you go to make the final comic.
While they might know about Cort, I get the feeling not too much time has passed since the end of issue five. With the number of planets in the galaxy, them picking the one Cort was headed to would be like hitting the lottery five times in a single year after surviving eight seperate shark attacks with barely a scratch, all of which occurred due to lightning strikes.

This is getting interesting…..I do have a question…..If they already have a starcaster, why the hell did they wait for so long? The starcaster is so powerful that you don’t need an armada to back you….or do you?
Because the other side has two Starcasters and they only have one. So they’ve been building up their armada to compensate.

Hell yeah, Stellaris xenophopes cleansing fanatics! Love how they use the Aug which are known to all races as resoning to cleanse the galaxy from the “failures”. I can totally see that being a religion and one that is probably used quite often.

“Set a course… to Alderaan.”
“Actually, brother, you’re a little late on that one.”
“Ugh… well, Gallifrey, then.”
“Late again.”
“OK, what about Earth?”
“Not since the Vogons came.”
“Krypton?”
“Really, brother? Do you even keep up with current events?”
That last panel, that’s the sign of a good brother. “You go have your tantrum, you’ve earned it. In the meantime I’m going to take some steps to make this better for you.”

Had a malware popup, might want to check your ads.
That’s pretty vague. Do you have any idea how many ads this site delivers? XD
There is a link in the sidebar to the right. If you get a bad ad, go directly there and report it. It will log the last ad you were served so we can try and track it down.
I’ve had that a few times now. It’s not linked to the website, but it’s a pretty convincing scam until you decide to click one of the browser tabs

Hey Tim, your site does not seem to play well with Grammerly. The text box, or at least the background, bounces up and down when you try to type in a comment.
Yup, of the four dialog choices (calm response, aggressive response, flirt, say nothing), he chose calmness. If only he’d been more like Shepherd and had been trying to get in the togas of every other person in the galaxy, this page would be that much more interesting….

That pause while he drank his beverage reminded me of all the times I took a sip of something while reviewing my dialog options in an RPG. I wonder what his other dialog options were? One was probably “Say nothing.”

Wait. Wait. I missed something the first time.

So… VECTANIX is the wielder of the Drangelaex Starcaster?
Well, crap. He’s the smarter, calmer, scarier one.
G’bye, Cort. Nice knowing ya.
Him.

I’m curious about where you got this physiology.
I mean, it’s obvious that they are inspired by Greco-Roman imagery but where did the style for the body (marks around the eyes, spikes and markings along the edges of the face) come from?
Im actually wondering if the face spikes are actually real. The messenger didn’t seem to have them, and the guards likely don’t either. Is it a genetic feature of Drangelaex royalty? Or a face graft/prostetic to make them look important?

I quite like this Vectanis guy. He seems quite the smooth operator and knows exactly how to handle his rather volatile brother. Also seems like the kind of person who knows what everyone around him is going to do 30 seconds in advance, at least.

Hey Tim,
Not sure what it is but I keep getting redirected from your site every now and then to an add site. Just wanted to let you know.
Well now. Hopefully they weren’t the only ones building up their forces.

Is the choice thing still applicable in this story?
Yes. When applicable.
Aw. WE should get to decide which planet to raze! 🙂
Exactly what I am thinking! 😀
Hmm, dual wielding starcasters?
It’s a race / class feat. You have to buy it with experience point if you’re not one of these dudes.
Interesting, they seem to be Greco-Roman.
You’d think they would wear quality light weight body armor at all times, then again maybe their species is incredibly durable.
Or that this is their downtime. You know Roman soldiers didn’t wear that armor all the time, right?
Wait, I take that back — Vectanix’s main outfit piece does look pretty Ironmanesque.
Why, on a starship? What bands of marauders do they expect to encounter walking their own corridors?
I’m going to go with subordinates.
Assassins. Pirates or another invasion. Treasonous colleagues. There are lots of options! XD
In many Imperial settings, the enemy without is far less dangerous than the enemy that calls you brother and plants the knife in your back when the circumstances are most favourable…. Et tu, bro?

Well if that’s the case we are probably to end up going with Gungan extinction…
Only if Tim gives us that option.
The Endor Holocaust, covered up by the Rebels to hide their own culpability in genocide.
With what the Starcaster can do, my gut feeling is that it’s going to come down to creative uses of it; i.e. not using it as a giant megalaser.
Success or Successors?
Success.
So will you let us the readers decide for Kelias which planet he tells Vectanix to cleanse of the filth? 😀
No 🙂
Mostly because the story would become untenable, letting the audience guide all sides of a conflict. I’d lose control of the narrative. There need to be forces against which the protagonists are working.
Also because then all the Gungans would be dead
Well, just the very first one this once for lulz, afterwards you could lead the other genocides all by yourself.^^
Plus you could just make it a 50%50% option, then we can’t mess with the story too much. Expect ofc the first race that gets wiped out is story important then ofc we can’t have any say. But if not, why not? :3

The Internet …. “Planety McPlanetface”…. no, just no. No good could come of such madness.
Hey! I wasn’t the only one confused by this! I had it explained to me in the Patreon page hehe.
I have a feeling that the planet they raze first will be the one that Cort and the gang are on.
While they might know about Cort, I get the feeling not too much time has passed since the end of issue five. The federation has two starcasters so even with the bigger fleet it will be a tough battle
Because the other side has two Starcasters and they only have one. So they’ve been building up their armada to compensate.

How about Vegeta?
“Vulkan then.”
“Now a black hole.”
“Daibazaal”
“Why do I even bother?”
“Istivan III?”
“Ok, technically still there, though there’s nothing left to raze”
Don’t forget Kharak.
Or the planets of system L-370 or L-374.
“Set a course…for the Susan system”
Xandar then
Em…
