how dare she bring this MWD into the hands of the galactic federation instead of letting the crazy genocidal cult get it?

That is self-delusion, a race that is doing a galatic crusade to eradicate all form of living beings would find you sooner or later. The question is not if they will find you, the question is when.

It also means that those people don’t (seem to) care what happens to others as long as they are safe.

Who cares what they’re bringing towards you? If it’s not in your lifetime that is 😉

In times of war, or even a long cold war, its common for people to try and find scapegoats. Foreigners are an easy target but its hard to blame somebody for doing anything to keep the genocidal army that just killed their race and shattered their planet (most likely) from getting a second planet cracker.

; Care to add any details on the time-measurements here? In an intergalactic society it makes no sense to use “days” or “sol-rotations”. Are the terms here just made up or have you found some real-world physics that would make sense to use in such context? (Such as Cepheid pulsing, etc)

I think it’s pretty clear. A centivale is 1/100th of a vale or 1/10th of a decivale and caluminum is 3 creds/jouk.

Just brainstorming here – in a multi-planetary, multi-species society, by default, there would be multiple measurements of time. You couldn’t get rid of day or year, because if you’re on a planet, you would still refer to things in terms of that planet. If Frogstar World B rotates in 8 hours, then 8 hours is the total length of a day to the poor souls who live on Frogstar B, and if they mention “yesterday” or “three days ago” it’s in terms of what they live. But an intergalactic civilization has to standardize on something. Star Trek’s got “stardate,” but… Read more »

You and me both. Though considering the age of the OG Viper design (circa 1978 as I recall) it’d be safe to say that No Man’s Sky got the influence from BSG. And I fully believe Tim is a big enough nerd (and I mean that in all the best ways) that it’s equally likely he was influenced by both when sketching them out for the Starcaster Chronicles.

Yeah that sounds like something people would say. People love their scapegoats and hate refugees

I am making $92 an hour working from home. i was greatly surprised at the same time as my neighbour advised me she changed into averaging $ninety five however I see the way it works now. I experience mass freedom now that I’m my non-public boss.
That is what I do… http://www.richzone9.com

Last bubble… it should be “She also led the Dranglaex right to us.” Not “lead.” Lead is only pronounced that way in regard to the metal. (It’s a minor typo, but I see it a LOT and it bugs me.)
