Last panel reminds of Grim Fandango, when Manny approaches a clown twisting balloons.
-Can you teach me how to do that?
-Well, since you’re a beginner, why don’t you practice the first step.
-Which is?
-BLOW!
To be fair, Cort only saw her fly in atmosphere. She might have taken a transport to the planet before flying out for all he knows. It would probably be a bigger leap to think she can survive space thanks to the starcaster than her arriving in any other way to the planet before hunting him down.
well their first meeting she kind of slammed into him like a ballistic missile. i mean if im just quietly doing my thing and a alien woman is suddenly hitting me from the side and crashing me through a mountain, im not exactly gonna notice if she was flying through the atmosphere, or just dropped out of space like a meteor. i would be more concerned with who the freak is this crazy chick, and “oh dear god i felt my bones break in triplicate!”

Man if you read this manga style it has a totally different vibe, but still works 😀
He’ll probably need practice, but nothing motivates getting better like trying to not die!

Curious to see how he starcasts without blowing a hole in his suit.

I have a nasty suspicion that the lance-major is going to be a casualty before she teaches Cort everything. She’ll teach him some stuff before something happens to her and he has to save the day.
But Tim isn’t very predictable, so I will be excited to see whatever happens. 😀

Does anyone know why we can’t see where a choice was presented or what the choices were? I would love to see what the possibilities were.

Side thought, wouldn’t a glowing hood ornament be a bit of a tell on where to direct capital ship fire? Might not be super saiyan mode, but a suit would give some semblance of opportunity to surprise…

How much air does her Starcaster-bubble hold, though?(unless the can actually create more)
I also hope she has a radio to communicate with Cort, no sound in space and all that.
I still think not wearing a suit is a bad idea though, is her mental discipline so great, that she NEVER loses focus on maintaining the bubble? I wouldn’t want to risk it myself. (and also it’s probably taking some mental effort from her, which may be slowing her reactions, or otherwise not let her perform as well as she could otherwise)

Oh man, good times. Run you pigeons, it’s Robert Frost!
There’s a star
manwoman waiting in the skyShe came to you flying from the space and still you notice now that she doesn’t need void suits? Tch tch.
Could it be possible that Cort will be the one noticing the Dranglaex cruiser doing a weird manoeuvre and recognising a protective maniobre…

HA ! Oh yea it tottaly does
Ironically, it feels more realistic too. 😂
Good luck, Cort. Don’t blow yourself up. Or your allies for that matter.
If the suit is over the top of the caster how is Cort going to use it without blowing a hole through the arm?
That’s the neat part, he won’t.
In that case
