Oh, so they are illegally mining. Yeah, I’d be worried about that too if intergalactic corpos got their own fleets to deal with such problems as well. xD
I don’t think those are fed ships, they look more like Dranglaex… I think they have bigger problems than a spell in space jail for mining in the wrong place
Yeah this looks like a “bottom up” view of Dranglaex ships. The shape is very similar to the end of the last issue, but we usually see them “top down” or head on.
(Bottom/top on panel. There’s not really an up and down in space! Even if just about every show ever has entire fleets facing off right side up as if it’s a naval battle…)
though they do look like they are in a bit of a hurry

Those are definitely Dranglaex….
Let’s hope you are not significant enough for them to care. If they don’t want their position reported on though….

I wonder if this is the same claim jumper that Cort had the option to evict rather than smuggle explosives.
If so Mr Hive face really dragged his feet getting someone else

Is there anywhere I can see a plot summary or lore breakdown for Starcaster Chronicles? It’s been years and I don’t recall some of the background details, the people who made the Starcasters and where their civilisation went. IIRC here’s a cold-war situation that uses the Starcasters as WMD/MAD but one side lied about having two and the extra one is the one the main guy has now. But that’s all spread across dozens of comic pages across years of updates, I tried to find it but there’s a lot of character-drama stuff. I’d prefer to read it as a… Read more »

Between yesterday and today’s comic, getting heavy firefly vibes. Love it!

I feel like these two are about to be target practice, intentional or otherwise.

A bit late for powering down. The ships are directly overhead. If they were to be detected, they already have.
It’s like when you slow down after seeing a police radar. Your speed has already been recorded.
Sometimes a bit of setup is needed, it’s also nice to know the world is bigger than just the main characters.

They have mentioned mining resources from the regions they conquer and they just had their largest losses in a long time so makes sense they would head to a nice random asteroid belt somewhere to lick their wounds, and to give the hot head something to shoot at.
I hope that rando lives long enough to see giant space lasers.

In fairness, I imagine the positioning was artistic license so that we the reader could recognize the ships, who were actually much farther away.
I actually do hope this gets moved to patreon only, these last few updates seem low effort, like his heart’s not in it…
please provide a link to your webcomic, i want to be able to see how a high effort comic where the heart is in it, looks like.
lol, classic perm-on with a facile argument….
I think you are confusing “low effort” and “setup for the next arc”.
