Legends say that Tim is still on that couch to this very day.

For many aeons the couch’s integrity was in jeopardy, but one day the governor decided to make the couch a state monument. After this point, a specialized sanitation and food delivery crew monitor the area, ensuring the couch remains as pristine as it once was.
The child is now about 4/5th of Tim’s height, but is still on the couch

CAD has secretly been run by Tim’s wife since 2012.

As a father to a nearly-one-year-old daughter, I feel your pain and your passion…

How is something so small so wriggly and pointy?

Here I thought slow motion 4k cute kittens would top the adorable charts today, apparently, I was wrong.

It’s a cardinal rule: if small beings such as children or animals fall asleep on you, you may not move in such a way that may awaken them.

I wonder: Do kids share the same trait as cats in waiting until just before you’re going to get up to crawl on you and fall asleep?

Mine most certainly does that (cat) – every day. i have to get up at about 8am – it lies on top of me at 7-7:30 am, licks me and falls asleep like a rock

I know of the struggle… the wife, kid and dog all seem to think I make for an excellent pillow for some reason.

I have 3 kids. I’ve done this. It gets better! Nothing you’re thinking is original, nor are you the only one! But, all the kicks to the kidneys, the popping knees, and the sore backs are worth it!

Kids have the weirdest sleeping poses and they can really sleep everywhere. It does make for some funny/adorable pictures though like this one.^^

Had a bunch of moments like this when my child was younger, and yes those moments are indeed precious….with a extra side dish of paralyzing. :p Actually I just had a flashback of when I was a young boy when I was at a big dinner with a bunch of my parents’ friends, one of them had a baby sleeping in her arms but thanks to that the mother was struggling to eat anything. I offered to hold the baby because I thought it was adorable and so the mom would get a break and eat, and she accepted. But… Read more »

Love it, so accurate except for the moving around part. My pants get damp from her body heat. My 3 year old granddaughter has been falling asleep on my lap for years on an almost daily basis. Going to miss that so much.

This is one of the few times it is good that you aren’t a Pokemon fan, because otherwise…

It doesn’t affect CHILD…

Honestly though that is adorable.

I’ve been reading CAD for 15 years (since Zeke got created). Happy to see 15 years later that you are still going AND snuggling with family.

My kids are 8 and 5, and I still get lots of hugs from the 8 year old (a good side effect of the earlier cuddles) and still cuddle with the 5 year old when I wake her up in the morning (she’s not a morning person.)

Remember, cuddles early will give you great benefits later on in their life.

You, odds are if you move even just a little carefully, you wouldn’t wake him up. I remember any number of time when I was young falling asleep watching TV and waking up the next morning in my bed, having been carried there by my dad. I may have half woken up during the trip, but if I did, THAT I don’t remember.

Oh man, this is truth. I also took advantage of, “but he’s napping and I can’t move,” to score some extra video game time…

We had to hold our oldest son until he was 1 and a half to get him to nap. Then we said no more. We loved holding him but needed our lives back. So we got him to sleep in his bed over the course of a week. A week of screaming and crying later and we had him sleeping great. He’s almost 3 now and doesn’t want to nap anymore. But at night he sleeps great.

What are the chances of getting this in the shop as a print or poster? I would love to hang it in my boy’s room. Captures the reality so perfectly. 🙂

I got triplet daughters who are 18 months old. It is bad when they all want attention at the same time. My wife wants more and I think I am done with names. Borg designations seem to be quite efficient!!

It does until you realize that you are using a 5-digit system.
Child # seems simple but Child zerozerozerozerothree is quite the mouthful.

The one that baffles me is how a creature so small can manage to force two grown adults out of a queen size bed in the middle of the night.

welcome to fatherhood, cherish these moments while they can still be had.
and yes, little boys run very hot when they sleep, to the point that sometimes you don’t even need to turn up the heat to keep them warm at night.

Do you use a heat sink with a fan, or a liquid cooling setup to cool your sleeping boy?

I’m just kidding.
Though yeah, the changes in metabolism and whatnot in a sleeping person/animal is weird yo!

I had custody of my nephew for 13 years and raised him like my own. Up until the day he was killed it was the most rewarding job I’d ever had.
I’d give anything to have those uncomfortable moments back where he slept all over me like that.
Love them with everything you’ve got because you never know what tomorrow brings.

Hi, long time fan here.

Five months have passed. There is no sign of the couch. Legend has it that Tim is still on it and the kid is still in hibernation.

We shall never know.
