Hopefully this is the start of a big story line for Analog and D-Pad. I miss the longer story lines.
Just finished reading through the collections from the books and started thinking on how n=much longer the storylines ran than they do now. Is their a reason for that Tim? Honest question. Still love what you put out everyday. Keep it up.
*shrug* I write storylines for as many pages as I feel I need to tell the story. I’m not really trying to hit any target page count with them. But with that said, back in CAD 1.0, I had some very long, meandering arcs… I think the one with Ethan finally getting into Scott’s room was over 40 pages. It could be that I’m trimming more fat than I used to, or that I’m simply more interested in breaking things up into smaller chunks. I did a fifteen page story for Winter-een-mas this year, and that took the entire month… Read more »
I do agree that it’s kinda better to try to limit yourself to a month haha. Obviously people might feel differently.
I’m still just waiting for the next Starcaster chapter though. We might need a little “Previously, on Starcaster Chronicles” from you though :p haha. Or I guess I can just click through the previous 20 pages on my own…
Makes sense. I do remember it taking a while to get to a resolution with Ethan getting in to Scott’s room while waiting for updates. It is different now being able to read it at my own pace and really get in to it.
40+ pages were totally worth getting into Scott’s room!

If you think about it, isn’t it actually incredible lucky to just randomly stumble about a possible robbery as a superhero? Like even the police can mostly react once they got the call but to be there before a crime happens that they got no infos about beforehand is quite rare. Same for our Superheroes here who patrol every night but this week rarely got a criminal to put in jail.
But if they’re particularly patrolling high crime areas of a high crime city, the numbers may shift in their favour quite a bit.

He needs better spandex to pull that off.

I can just hear the Batman envy in Ethan’s head “Stupid Batman, he’s so lucky that Gotham’s totally infested with crime and up to it’s neck with supervillains. Bet he never has to worry about being bored.”
:p

Tim: you could run a poll to see if people would like a longer story line once in a while.
of course you don’t want to write them all the time perhaps, but once in a while would be cool.
We have the longer storyline once in a while, that is the A&D, Campaign and Starcaster sections. This is the A&D’verse, but isn’t part of the A&D main storyline.

to add to my previous post, i tried to reply to Tim’s April 17, 2019 at 9:53 am comment, but it slapped it at the bottom of the page.
the page even kinda loaded my comment under Tim’s for a second and then loaded it at the bottom.

These ‘superhero’ comics where nothing happens are getting so boring now.
But they make it so that there’s more meaning in the ones where there ARE things happening. Worldbuilding, now? Also, I expect a new antagonist with a title like “Turf”

True that. I’ve never in my life seen a street robbery in progress. In the country where I live only 2 in every 1000 people are robbed of either personal or businss property each year ( https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/crimeandjustice/articles/overviewofrobberyandtheftfromtheperson/2017-07-20), so it’s hardly commonplace.
