Back when I used to do a lot of conventions I was pretty good about remembering to constantly sanitize my hands throughout the weekend. You shake a lot of hands, sign a bunch of swag, and really you have no idea where people have been and what sort of germs they’re carrying around, so it just makes sense.

Unfortunately last weekend at ConnectiCon I forgot to do that, and now I’m paying the price. Since Sunday evening some sort of evil illness has been slowly laying the groundwork for a complete overthrow of my immune system. I saw the signs of the impending attack, and sure enough last night it came on full force and knocked me on my ass. The fever has now broken, thankfully, but I still feel pretty run down.

I’m spending most of my time in bed right now, but SOE did remind us that Planetside 2 beta applications are now open, and I thought I should remind you as well.

I played quite a fair bit of the original Planetside, so I’m really anxious to see how this one shapes up.
